It\u2019s meant to be a chopping board (although, I have serious doubts about how safe it would be for someone as clumsy as myself to chop anything on a raised non slip surface) , but like most things designed by IKEA, it can be used in so many different ways.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-45788 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/grillo-designs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/IMG_2106-194x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"1236\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I love how IKEA products allow you to reimagine how something can be used to match your style, your home and your needs. I think the STOLTHET has the potential to be as iconic as the ORDNING utensil holder or BILLY bookcase, which people have used in countless ways!!<\/p>\n<p>Side note: Can you tell I&#8217;m a FAN? I&#8217;ve been singing IKEA&#8217;s praises since the day I started this blog. You can check out some of my previous IKEA content <a href=\"https:\/\/grillo-designs.com\/category\/diy\/ikea-hacks\/\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is going to be a shorter than usual post but I haven&#8217;t seen anyone else use the STOLTHET as a bookend and you know how quickly things move on the internet these days, so I wanted to make sure you all knew that I Medina Grillo, did it first&#8230;. (and I don&#8217;t usually like to blow my trumpet quite so much but my TikTok just racked up over 7 million views, you can watch it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@grillodesigns\/video\/7146305333315587333?is_copy_url=1&amp;is_from_webapp=v1\">here)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><span class=\"prokeys-snippet-text\">This post may contain affiliate links. A BOOK STAND<\/h2>\n<p>It\u2019s<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>actually really effective and I personally think it looks great!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">I&#8217;m the kind of person who loves to have books by my bed but the mess of piling them up, can be annoying. With the IKEA STOLTHET you can just flip it and you have yourself an\u00a0instant bookstand! You can paint it, <a href=\"https:\/\/grillo-designs.com\/how-to-stain-wood\/\">or stain it<\/a>\u00a0depending on the look\u00a0you&#8217;re\u00a0 going for.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1><b><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-45771\" src=\"https:\/\/grillo-designs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/ways-to-style-ikea-stolthet-cutting-board10-1-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"ikea stolthet styled upside down on a bedside table as bookends. 6 books nestle in perfectly and a vintage style lighting fixture hangs low on a half painted black wall\" width=\"800\" height=\"1200\" \/><\/b><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">It can even be styled \u00a0on a bookshelf &#8211; just think bookends! A MINI SHELF<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0\/ TIERED TRAY<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The styling options are endless here &#8211; especially <a href=\"https:\/\/grillo-designs.com\/not-so-renter-friendly-kitchen-makeover\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in the kitchen<\/a>. So let\u2019s look at a few set ups.<\/p>\n<p>This is one set<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>up in my kitchen &#8211; for a Hot Chocolate corner. I used a mini drawer from eBay to add in some extra storage. You can buy similar from here. And if you&#8217;re wondering what that bronze gadget is. . . \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3CsmcfD\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">its a velvetier<\/a>! Literally one of my favourite things to use in the kitchen right now. I think it\u2019s makes a lot of \u00a0sense \u00a0to have the things you use often all grouped together like this.
