Plus his report was then followed up by various other credible journalists, saying similar.<\/p>\n<p>The man from The Athletic, David Ornstein,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.themag.co.uk\/2026\/07\/bruno-guimaraes-has-told-newcastle-united-he-wants-to-leave-and-join-arsenal\/\"> states<\/a> in his exclusive today that: <em>\u2018The Premier League champions are stepping up their pursuit of the 28-year-old and have indicated a willingness to pay up to \u00a360million for the midfielder. The Athletic reported in June that Arsenal had a verbal offer \u2014 worth below \u00a360m \u2014 rebuffed. Newcastle insisted at the time that they would not entertain bids for Guimaraes. There has been no club-to-club contact so far and the north-east side are currently maintaining that position.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n<p>However, a more positive update has now emerged on this Bruno Guimaraes situation.<\/p>\n<p>Luke Edwards of <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/LukeEdwardsTele\">The Telegraph<\/a> revealing his information from informed sources: <em>\u2018I\u2019m told Bruno is extremely emotional following Brazil\u2019s early exit from the World Cup. This is probably his last chance to secure a big money move to a team competing for title and Champions League. But he does not want to tarnish his legacy at Newcastle and will only leave if clubs can agree a price.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Telegraph reporter going on to add: <em>\u2018Newcastle United valuation is around the \u00a3100m fee they received for Tonali. No chance they sell at \u00a350-60m. Very unlikely Bruno goes down the same path as Isak to force an exit but he would like a move to Arsenal.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n<p>There are no positives to take from the news that Bruno Guimaraes has said he would like to leave Newcastle United for Arsenal.<\/p>\n<p>However, it doesn\u2019t automatically mean that a transfer will happen.<\/p>\n<p>The idea that Newcastle United would take a transfer fee of around half what Elliot Anderson is going to Manchester City for, is just laughable. Or indeed for \u00a340m less than Sandro Tonali has gone to Tottenham for.<\/p>\n<p>Bruno Guimaraes is a better player than Sandro Tonali and far superior to Anderson. Tonali is two years younger than Bruno and Elliot Anderson five years younger, however, the Brazil international is worth \u00a3100m of anybody\u2019s money.<\/p>\n<p>Plus he is basically priceless in terms of his value to Newcastle United with everything he gives us, so \u00a3100m should be the very least he could go for, which I am sure Bruno Guimaraes will understand.<\/p>\n<p>You need a player willing to move clubs, then you need a club wanting to buy and another willing to sell.<\/p>\n<p>Bruno Guimaraes has effectively three years left on his Newcastle United contract as NUFC can unilaterally add another year to the two left on his current deal, so no contract pressure to sell.<\/p>\n<p>It just feels like Arsenal are trying to take advantage and hopefully they stick to their \u00a360m lowball offer which has zero chance of succeeding.<\/p>\n<p><!-- CONTENT END 1 --><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<!-- Article End --><\/p><\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An exclusive on Wednesday night revealed that Bruno Guimaraes has now told Newcastle United he wants to leave the club and join Arsenal.
