According to a <\/em>new report<\/em><\/a>, Trump\u2019s agenda has raised costs on American families by $2,072 to $3,569<\/em><\/p>\n

One year after Donald Trump signed his \u201cOne, Big Beautiful Bill\u201d into law \u2014 the largest wealth transfer in history from everyday Americans to the top 1% \u2014 Trump said today<\/a> that he wants billionaires \u201cto be tremendously successful\u201d as working families struggle to make ends meet in his economy.<\/p>\n

REMINDER: <\/strong>In May, Trump told Americans<\/a> he doesn\u2019t care about their financial situations.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Trump and Republicans\u2019 agenda has already raised costs<\/a> on the average family by at least $2,000, while giving handouts to billionaires. Another report found that, by the end of this year, the GOP agenda will cost<\/a> typical Americans hundreds of dollars, while the top 0.1% will receive a tax break of nearly $200,000.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n

In response, <\/em>DNC Rapid Response Director Kendall Witmer released the following statement:\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cDonald Trump\u2019s priorities are crystal clear: billionaires and big corporations over working families. Everyday Americans are struggling to make ends meet as Trump and Republicans\u2019 agenda jacks up costs on everything from groceries to gas to healthcare while slashing programs they depend on. Instead of making life better for working families, Trump is focused on making himself and his family richer and securing tax breaks for his wealthy donors.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

As billionaires get even richer under Trump, everyday Americans are worse off in his economy as prices continue to skyrocket and pessimism about finding a job is at a near-all-time high<\/a>. Inflation<\/a> rose to the highest point in three years, and the Personal Savings Rate, which measures Americans\u2019 disposable income, dropped<\/a> to 3% last month, one of the lowest readings since the Great Recession as Americans turn to their savings and credit to keep up with high prices.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
