It\u2019s an exciting time.\u201d \u2014 NALC Director Harrison Pittman<\/h3>\n<p>By Drew Viguet<br \/>National Agricultural Law Center<br \/>U of A System Division of Agriculture<\/p>\n<p>Jan. 17, 2025<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fast facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2025 Mid-South and Western conferences co-hosted by NALC and the NASDA Foundation<\/li>\n<li>Registration is open <a href=\"https:\/\/nationalaglawcenter.org\/legaleducation\/\">online<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Both programs held in June<\/li>\n<li>Livestream option available<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. \u2014 Two national agricultural organizations are teaming up in 2025 to provide educational and networking opportunities to the nation\u2019s vast agricultural community.<\/p>\n<p>The National Agricultural Law Center, or NALC, will co-host its two annual conferences with the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture Foundation, or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasda.org\/nasda-foundation\">NASDA Foundation<\/a>. Registration for both programs, the Mid-South Agricultural and Environmental Law Conference and the Western Water, Agricultural, and Environmental Law Conference is now open.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re really excited to be able to offer both of these programs again, and especially to continue to grow them by co-hosting with our friends at the NASDA Foundation. It\u2019s an exciting time,\u201d said NALC Director Harrison Pittman.<\/p>\n<p>Both the Mid-South and Western main conference programs will be held in June, with a livestream option available. They will also offer continuing legal education credit, as well as continuing education from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uaex.uada.edu\/media-resources\/news\/2024\/october2024\/10-25-2024-ark-nalc-2025-conferences.aspx#:~:text=American%20Society%20of%20Farm%20Managers%20and%20Rural%20Appraisers\">American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese conferences are premiere learning and networking opportunities for attorneys, students, and other ag professionals who work throughout the nation\u2019s agricultural community,\u201d Pittman said.<\/p>\n<p>Registration and information for the upcoming NALC conferences, as well as information on past programs, can be found online at <a href=\"https:\/\/nationalaglawcenter.org\/legaleducation\">https:\/\/nationalaglawcenter.org\/legaleducation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>12<sup>th<\/sup> Annual Mid-South<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 12<sup>th<\/sup> Annual Mid-South Agricultural and Environmental Law Conference will be held June 5-6 in Memphis, Tennessee. The event kicks off the afternoon of June 5 gathering at the lobby of The Peabody Memphis, followed by the annual \u201cBeer &amp; BBQ\u201d dinner at <a href=\"https:\/\/hogsfly.com\/\">The Rendezvous<\/a> on the evening of June 5. The conference program will occur Friday, June 6 at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.memphis.edu\/law\/\">University of Memphis Cecil C. They know what topics are important to stakeholders throughout the region and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>3<sup>rd<\/sup> Annual Western<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Annual Western Water, Ag, and Environmental Law Conference will be held June 19-20 in Reno, Nevada, at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.peppermillreno.com\/\">Peppermill Resort Spa Casino<\/a>. The Western conference focuses on legal and policy issues directly relevant to the ag and food industry in Western states.\u00a0 \u00a0Registration is available at <a href=\"https:\/\/nationalaglawcenter.org\/western2025\">https:\/\/nationalaglawcenter.org\/western2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIssues impacting Western U.S. agriculture have significant influence for the entire country\u2019s ag community,\u201d said Pittman. \u201cThere is a lot that\u2019s at play in the West.
