We want to keep fighting for him until the end.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tielemans hopes Onana will remain with Belgium<\/h2>\n<p>Onana must now weigh up whether to remain with the squad in the United States or return to England to recuperate.<\/p>\n<p>Tielemans added: \u201cAmadou is a great personality within our group and gets on with everyone, so we are definitely going to miss him. Hopefully he can stay with us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It was cruel blemish on an otherwise perfect night for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.101greatgoals.com\/football\/world-cup-news\/overturn-this-belgium-hit-back-at-donald-trump-gianni-infantino-folarin-balogun-us-make-limp-world-cup-exit\/\">Belgium following the scandal surrounding the availability of USA striker Folarin Balogun.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Romelu Lukaku scored Belgium\u2019s fourth goal in injury time and held up a Belgium shirt with Onana\u2019s name on the back.<\/p>\n<p>The 24-year-old, who joined Villa from Everton for \u00a350million in 2024, made 25 Premier League appearances for the club last season, scoring two goals.<\/p>\n<p>He was a substitute as Unai Emery\u2019s men won the Europa League with a 3-0 defeat of Freiburg in Istanbul, coming on in the 66th minute.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Belgium captain Youri Tielemans says the Red Devils will \u201cfight until the end\u201d for stricken team-mate Amadou Onana, who tore his anterior cruciate ligament in the World Cup win over the United States last night.
