Designing in Your Style: How to Be Authentic While Decorating.<\/h2>\n

For a long time, I thought I had to choose. Do I need to try to make my home look like a pottery barn magazine spread\u2026 Or do I want to make it look like me. And of course I am all about Designing in Your Style.<\/span><\/p>\n

Either I designed things that felt like <\/span>me<\/span><\/i> creative, intuitive, expressive <\/span>or<\/b> I designed things that looked \u201cprofessional.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

I believed professional meant muted colors.<\/span>
<\/span>Clean but boring.<\/span>
<\/span>Safe.<\/span>
<\/span>Something that didn\u2019t quite feel like home.<\/span><\/p>\n

And honestly? That belief kept me stuck.<\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s exactly why I feel like decorating CAN BE A HUGGGEEE SCAM in 2026. Because so many people still think you have to decorate like the pros instead of yourself.<\/p>\n

Truly your home should be your own haven and your own style.<\/p>\n

Which if you have been following me for a while you know I believe your home should be your cozy place you never want to leave. So I knew when decorating my home, and updating for 2026 that meant I would choose things I was absolutely obsessed with.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve ever felt like your natural style is <\/span>too much<\/span><\/i> or <\/span>not polished enough<\/span><\/i> to be taken seriously, this is for you.<\/span><\/p>\n

Authentic Design Is Not the Opposite of Professional<\/b><\/h3>\n

Let\u2019s clear something up right now.<\/span><\/p>\n

Professional does not mean boring as heckkkk.<\/b><\/p>\n

  • Consistent<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Clear<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Easy to understand<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Easy to navigate<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    My favorite thing is when you walk into someone\u2019s home and you can tell exactly how they are, what they like, what they are passionate about ALL BECAUSE their home looks like them.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Your Style Is the Brand (Not Something to Hide)<\/b><\/h3>\n
