This is the part of the show where I, Vivien, talk to and about crystals. Our crystal guest today is a stone called Iolite, a stone that has a true indigo color, making it one of the most ideal stones for the third eye.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\">When I checked what AI has to say about Iolite, the results were rather disappointing. The list of properties was so generic, it could have been describing any (and every) stone. I turned back to my usual trusted source, namely Melody, and did get a little further. At least Melody highlighted some of the unique attributes of Iolite like: elimination of debts, balancing the male\/female aspects of character, stimulation of visions and imbibing alcohol without exhibiting any ill effects. All of these sound like rather special benefits, but there\u2019s more.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\">The one that really intrigued me is that one can use Iolite to strengthen your constitution so you can defy physiological disorders. This intrigues me, because I have recently been doing some research about super-aging.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\">Iolite told me to begin there \u2013 \u201cthere\u201d being \u201cfirst explain the word constitution in an understandable manner because people may have a feel for the meaning, but not a clear, accurate verbal definition, and then define \u201csuper-aging.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\">Here\u2019s the definition of \u201cConstitution\u201d in the health and medical context:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\">In health, \u201cconstitution\u201d refers to\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\">a person\u2019s\u00a0<strong>overall physical condition<\/strong>, including their inherent strength, makeup, and susceptibility to illness. It encompasses both innate factors like genetics and acquired factors like lifestyle and environment, which together determine how a body responds to disease and stress. The term \u201cconstitutional\u201d is also used to describe symptoms that affect the entire body, such as fever or fatigue.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\"><strong>Key aspects of constitution in health<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\"><strong>Physical makeup<\/strong>: A person\u2019s \u201cconstitution\u201d relates to their physical character as it pertains to strength, health, and appearance.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\"><strong>Susceptibility to illness<\/strong>: It determines how an individual\u2019s body responds to disease and external factors, influencing how they metabolize nutrients, process food, and react to treatments.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\"><strong>Inborn and acquired factors<\/strong>: A person\u2019s constitution is shaped by both inherited traits and acquired factors, including diet, lifestyle, emotional state, and environmental exposure.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\"><strong>Holistic view<\/strong>: In some holistic and traditional medicine systems, such as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), body constitution is a fundamental concept that is unique to each individual and affects their overall health.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\"><strong>\u201cConstitutional\u201d symptoms<\/strong>: In a medical context, \u201cconstitutional\u201d refers to general, body-wide symptoms that are not specific to one organ or system, but indicate a systemic illness. Examples include fatigue, fever, and unintentional weight loss.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\">What\u2019s super-aging? Super-agers are people who don\u2019t age in the average way, but actually can get better\/stronger\/sharper as they age. Research indicates that super-agers have some different chemistries from regular people. Here is the expanded explanation:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\"><strong>Superaging<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\">\u00a0is a research term referring to\u00a0individuals aged 80 and older who maintain exceptional memory and cognitive abilities comparable to those of people several decades younger\u00a0(typically in their 50s or 60s).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\">This phenomenon involves a resistance to the typical age-related cognitive decline and brain volume loss seen in their peers. Key characteristics found in \u201csuperagers\u201d include:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\"><strong>Exceptional memory performance:<\/strong>\u00a0Scoring high on specific memory tests, such as delayed word recall tests, on par with middle-aged individuals.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\"><strong>Slower brain atrophy:<\/strong>\u00a0Superagers experience less brain shrinkage (atrophy), particularly in the cortex, than is typical for their age group.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\"><strong>Youthful brain structures:<\/strong>\u00a0Specific regions of their brains, such as the anterior cingulate cortex and hippocampus (areas important for memory, attention, and decision-making), are often thicker and larger than those of their cognitively average peers, and in some cases, even thicker than in younger adults.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\"><strong>Unique cellular traits:<\/strong>\u00a0Their brains have a higher density of specialized von Economo neurons, which are linked to social behavior and emotional processing.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\"><strong>Strong social connections:<\/strong>\u00a0While lifestyle factors like diet and exercise vary among superagers, they consistently report strong, positive social relationships and tend to be more extroverted and resilient.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\">The study of superaging focuses on understanding the protective factors that allow these individuals to age so remarkably well, aiming to find ways to help others maximize their \u201chealthspan\u201d and avoid age-related neurodegenerative conditions like Alzheimer\u2019s disease.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\">To get to the point, Melody ascertained this constitution-strengthening feature of Iolite long before the concept of super aging came on the scene. Melody wrote the information about Iolite in the 1980\u2019s whereas super aging was defined for the first time in 2008 (The term \u201csuper ager\u201d was coined\u00a0in\u00a0<strong>2008<\/strong>\u00a0by researchers at Northwestern University\u2019s\u00a0<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.verywellmind.com\/what-is-a-superager-6826372\">Mesulam Center for Cognitive Neurology and Alzheimer\u2019s Disease<\/a>. They define a super ager as an adult over the age of 80 who possesses memory capabilities similar to those of individuals at least three decades younger.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\">From both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Homeopathy, I have long been a subscriber to understanding that our health and patterns are constitutionally generated and that the very best thing we can do for ourselves, is nurture and support our constitutions. Consequently, these few words about Iolite really catch my eye. It seems to me that Iolite can transform a receptive constitution into a super-ager constitution.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\">In Crystal Surgery I use Iolite to work on the eyes, and I actually engage Iolite combined with Sunstone for this purpose as well. I place a Sunstone in Iolite stone on the third eye, and pulse the eyes with both a pure Iolite sphere and a Sunstone in Iolite Sphere. The kinds of eye conditions that I have been working on include glaucoma, macular degeneration, retinal detachment and cataract complications. I want to be clear \u2013 I do not think that carrying Iolite in your pocket is going to make a difference to your eyes if that is all that you do. I suspect that what Iolite does is render the tissue more receptive to both the healing chemistry of regular metabolic activities and the chemistry of medications. In other words, like so many crystals, I would hazard an opinion that Iolite is a catalyst.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\">One of the Crystal Surgery graduates, Nicole, developed a procedure for freeing the body of visceral fat. To do this, we cut Iolite stones into blades which are used to clear the etheric tissues that correspond to the visceral fat cells. Once these are broken down, we use another stone called Nonterite that acts as a sponge and soaks up the debris and residue left behind after working with the Iolite. One of my clients has asked me to systematically work on her using this procedure and we are observing a cumulative effect that is encouraging. Of course I am researching this procedure on other people, including myself, and over time we will be able to assess how effective this procedure is. In the meantime, it\u2019s interesting to see how many properties the Iolite blade is bringing to the table.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\">When I ask Iolite what it wants to say about itself, it says this: I like to think of myself as an interesting stone because I come in such a plain package. I\u2019m not a pretty pink or purple color. I mean really, for the most part, I\u2019m a very boring navy or even gray. Of course, at my highest end I can be an utterly gorgeous gemstone. I am talking about my appearance at the regular grade. But Vivien, you have hit the nail on the head by ascertaining that I contain a secret \u2013 I can be used to make someone special \u2026 and <em>super!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\">When I ask Iolite what message it wants to share with you today it says: \u201cThere is a saying that there is nothing new under the sun. This is true, yes. But, the thing and its opposite live in the same place, therefore it is true that there is nothing new under the sun and yet, there are many new ideas, dynamics and even concrete objects proliferating under the sun as we speak. How is this possible? Think of it like piano music. There are no new notes on the piano \u2013 but there are endless new ways to <em>combine<\/em> those notes to make <em>new <\/em>music. There may not be new chemicals under the sun, but the way those chemicals are combined could generate new substances \u2026 and so it goes. We could contemplate this endlessly, but rather put it into constructive application with regard to your own self. Humans are not new to this planet. There is nothing new about being a human. But you, you are new. You are the one and only human who is like you. You are unique \u2013 and what are you going to do about it?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px; color: #000000;\">Oh my! Thank you, Iolite for this insight. I like the way that you are pointing this out \u2026 and I get an aha in this moment, seeing your name in a new way: Iolite \u2026 I owe light!!! How extraordinary is that?
