The examination was conducted on <b>7 December 2025 at 156 test centres <\/b>spread across <b>25 States and 4 Union Territories<\/b>, reflecting the exam\u2019s nationwide scale and reach.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Strong Participation and High Attendance<\/b><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; \">One of the most notable aspects of CLAT 2026 is the exceptionally high attendance rate of 96.01%, indicating sustained interest in legal education despite intense competition. Of the candidates who appeared:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"hocalwire-editor-list\">\n<li style=\"text-align: justify; \"><span>57% were females<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>43% were males<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>9 candidates identified as transgender, highlighting gradual diversification in participation<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Top Scores and Evaluation Pattern<\/b><\/h2>\n<div class=\"pasted-from-word-wrapper\">\n<p>For the <strong data-start=\"1161\" data-end=\"1183\">Undergraduate (UG)<\/strong> programme, the <strong data-start=\"1199\" data-end=\"1242\">highest score recorded was 112.75 marks<\/strong>, while the <strong data-start=\"1254\" data-end=\"1275\">Postgraduate (PG)<\/strong> topper secured <strong data-start=\"1291\" data-end=\"1307\">104.25 marks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Both UG and PG evaluations were conducted <strong data-start=\"1353\" data-end=\"1373\">out of 119 marks<\/strong>, as <strong data-start=\"1378\" data-end=\"1408\">one question was withdrawn<\/strong> from the provisional answer key in each paper. In the PG paper, answers to <strong data-start=\"1484\" data-end=\"1516\">three questions were revised<\/strong>, leading to adjusted evaluation criteria.<\/div>\n<p><h2><b>City-Wise Performance Trends (UG &amp; PG)<\/b><\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"pasted-from-word-wrapper\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; \">A closer look at the <b>Top 100 Undergraduate (UG) candidates<\/b> reveals interesting regional patterns. <b>Bengaluru emerged as the leading city<\/b>, contributing the <b>highest number of top scorers<\/b>, followed by <b>New Delhi and Mumbai<\/b>. <b>Cities such as Hyderabad, Jaipur, Chennai, Gurugram, and Lucknow <\/b>also featured prominently, reflecting the strong presence of coaching hubs and academic ecosystems in these regions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; \">Notably, <b>Hisar recorded four female candidates and no male candidates<\/b> in the UG Top 100 list, making it a standout and statistically interesting data point in this year\u2019s results.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; \">In the <b>Postgraduate (PG) category<\/b>, <b>New Delhi dominated<\/b> the Top 100 list, contributing the highest number of successful candidates,<b> followed by Jabalpur and Jaipur<\/b>. Other <b>cities such as Indore, Patiala, Lucknow, Hyderabad, and Gandhinagar<\/b> also found significant representation. The PG results indicate a wider geographical spread, with candidates from smaller cities and academic centres performing competitively alongside metropolitan hubs, underscoring the growing accessibility of advanced legal education across regions.<\/p>\n<h2><b>What Lies Ahead<\/b><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; \">Admissions to the <b>five-year integrated UG<\/b> and<b> PG law programmes<\/b> for the<b> Academic Year 2026\u201327<\/b> will now be conducted by participating <b>National Law Universities based on CLAT 2026<\/b> scores.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; \">The Consortium has notified the instructions for the CLAT 2026 admissions counselling process.
