We saw everything they did as part of civilization. Because of this, we applauded them and blindly sang their praises.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"background-color: white; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-top: 1em;\">\n<span class=\"text_exposed_show\" style=\"display: inline;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;\">We were so blind that we did not notice when they went from equality to <a class=\"b-tooltip-container\" data-preview=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?ved=1t:260882&amp;q=define+role+reversal&amp;bbid=8512238568790095644&amp;bpid=927654767818621674\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"b-tooltip\" style=\"display: none;\"><iframe src=\"\/share-widget?w=poi&amp;o=t&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fsearch%3Fved%3D1t%3A260882%26q%3Ddefine%2Brole%2Breversal%26bbid%3D8512238568790095644%26bpid%3D927654767818621674\"><\/iframe><\/span>role reversal<\/a>, and from \u2018rights\u2019 to \u2018wrongs\u2019.\u00a0They told us it was all a matter of understanding. I mean, if she earns more than he does, why can\u2019t she be the head while he submits?.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<p>\n<span class=\"text_exposed_show\" style=\"display: inline;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;\">They told us we had the right to our bodies, they told us that if the guys can do \u2018it\u2019 anytime with anybody, so can the girls.\u00a0They introduced free love, and \u2018friends with benefits\u2019, and convinced us that we were just exercising our rights to enjoy our bodies. We agreed, which youth wouldn\u2019t?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n<span class=\"text_exposed_show\" style=\"display: inline;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;\"><br \/>When we complained about STDs, they introduced condoms, and even started sharing it to us free of charge in our secondary schools (catch them young). They\u00a0told us that\u00a0from the age of 16, we had the right to do whatever we wanted to. This made us to start seeing our parents and school teachers as toothless\u00a0bulldogs as they no longer had the right to discipline us.\u00a0Talk of sweet freedom!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: white; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-top: 1em;\">\n<span class=\"text_exposed_show\" style=\"display: inline;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;\"><br \/>Some of us still got pregnant, and we complained yet again. So they decided to legalize <a class=\"b-tooltip-container\" data-preview=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?ved=1t:260882&amp;q=abortions+effects&amp;bbid=8512238568790095644&amp;bpid=927654767818621674\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"b-tooltip\" style=\"display: none;\"><iframe src=\"\/share-widget?w=poi&amp;o=t&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fsearch%3Fved%3D1t%3A260882%26q%3Dabortions%2Beffects%26bbid%3D8512238568790095644%26bpid%3D927654767818621674\"><\/iframe><\/span>abortions<\/a>.\u00a0This was in a bid to help us. So we accepted it. I mean, why bring a child you don\u2019t want or can\u2019t take care of into the world?<\/span><span>\u00a0We felt a bit guilty because it seemed like murder. But they told us not to worry. According to them, what we were doing was merely taking out an unwanted fetus, and\u00a0not killing a child.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: white; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-top: 1em;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;\">Yet again, we accepted it, and got pacified.\u00a0They said that we weren\u2019t supposed to be accountable to any deity, <a class=\"b-tooltip-container\" data-preview=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?ved=1t:260882&amp;q=types+of+religion&amp;bbid=8512238568790095644&amp;bpid=927654767818621674\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"b-tooltip\" style=\"display: none;\"><iframe src=\"\/share-widget?w=poi&amp;o=t&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fsearch%3Fved%3D1t%3A260882%26q%3Dtypes%2Bof%2Breligion%26bbid%3D8512238568790095644%26bpid%3D927654767818621674\"><\/iframe><\/span>religion<\/a>, our parents or the society.\u00a0Next, they told us we had the freedom to do what we wanted with our lives, so far as we weren\u2019t hurting other people or trampling on their rights.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<p>\n<span class=\"text_exposed_show\" style=\"display: inline;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;\">Almost immediately, we stopped regarding God. We rather chose to play football, hang out, or watch\u00a0seasonal movies on Weekends.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: white; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-top: 1em;\">\n<span class=\"text_exposed_show\" style=\"display: inline;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;\">We also decided to experiment with <a class=\"b-tooltip-container\" data-preview=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?ved=1t:260882&amp;q=history+of+homosexuality&amp;bbid=8512238568790095644&amp;bpid=927654767818621674\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"b-tooltip\" style=\"display: none;\"><iframe src=\"\/share-widget?w=poi&amp;o=t&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fsearch%3Fved%3D1t%3A260882%26q%3Dhistory%2Bof%2Bhomosexuality%26bbid%3D8512238568790095644%26bpid%3D927654767818621674\"><\/iframe><\/span>homosexuality<\/a>. It seemed like fun, and they encouraged us.\u00a0When we told them that the society frowned against\u00a0our choice, they legalized it and told us we can get married too.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: large;\">We decided to go further and experiment with drugs. They frowned against it publicly, but we still had access to it. Moreover, we were minors, and the law enforcement agents couldn\u2019t really punish us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n<span class=\"text_exposed_show\" style=\"display: inline;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;\">We looked for role models and they gave us Hollywood stars with multiple divorce stories, musical icons addicted to drugs\/alcohol, and sports stars with numerous extra marital affair scandals.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n<span class=\"text_exposed_show\" style=\"display: inline;\"><span face=\"&quot;arial&quot; , &quot;helvetica&quot; , sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;\">They told us, that those celebrities were successful and free and we should aspire to be like them. And just like our \u2018role-models\u2019, we started going after everything in skirt.\u00a0We equally tore off pictures of our successful and \u2018sexy\u2019 looking role models off celebrity magazines, and pasted them on our mirrors.\u00a0We started dieting\u00a0like mad so we can lose weight and look like them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n<span class=\"text_exposed_show\" style=\"display: inline;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;\">We noticed that they hardly wore any clothes, so we followed suit.\u00a0When we became bored, they introduced us to their clubs and night parties.\u00a0They told us to throw caution to the winds and just have fun.\u00a0Even when some of us got raped, they encouraged us to shut up and keep having fun.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n<span class=\"text_exposed_show\" style=\"display: inline;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;\">Some of us became addicted to alcohol, but we were told not to worry that it was one way to prove our manhood, so we continued.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n<span class=\"text_exposed_show\" style=\"display: inline;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;\">At a time we noticed that we had lost our will. We had become their slaves without knowing it. Many more had STDs. Some of us experienced series of psychological traumas and mental breakdowns.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;\">A lot more dropped out of school as a result of unwanted pregnancies, drugs, or an abortion that went wrong.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;\">At this point we saw our future get dashed before our faces. We started looking for whom to blame. After a fruitless search, we had to admit that we didn\u2019t even know who \u2018they\u2019 were. Then reality dawned on us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;\">We remembered Holly Books wisdom and we remembered our fathers telling us that \u201cunlimited liberty is slavery in disguise\u201d. We also remembered when our mothers told us that \u201cfreedom without checks and balances is tantamount to advanced bondage\u201d.\u00a0By then it was too late for us. We had bought \u2018their\u2019 freedom lie. A Yoruba people in Western Nigeria puts it &#8221;Aso o ba Omoye mo, Omoye ti rin ihoho&#8221; ( Too late for Omoye, Omoye ran mad).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n<span class=\"text_exposed_show\" style=\"display: inline;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;\">Maybe for you, it is not yet late. Then please don\u2019t be deceived by their lies and evil propaganda. Do not be swayed by their subtle message of freedom.<br \/>They\u2019re all lies! We can prove it with our relationships, drug addictions, unwanted pregnancies, violent tendencies etc.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: medium;\"><span>Beware, and please let&#8217;s warn our youths and teenagers so the menace will not colonise all of this generation.
