Tell us about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leapfunder.com\/round\/wavy-bv-28jun2022-160329-1048\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wavy Earplugs<\/a>, the idea that got it all started, and the amazing team behind it.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thanks for the opportunity. I\u2019m an Audio Engineer from Amsterdam. I started my career working in music studios and at events. In my free time, I like to do watersports. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The reason I was triggered to start a company in the hearing market is that in my audio\/music career and free time activities, I have seen a lot of people damage their hearing while doing what they love the most, for example, surfing, swimming or going out. When people are protecting their hearing with traditional universal earplugs, they always compromise on sound, all-day comfort and even on the looks of the product.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We develop a unique product that delivers great protection, comfort and sound. Besides that, we aim to develop a product and brand that can be worn proudly.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our team met at the audio startup accelerator program called \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.accelerace.io\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Accelerace<\/a>\u201d. It\u2019s an initiative from a.o \u201cBang &amp; Olufsen\u201d. I\u2019m the CEO Audio Engineer and Founder of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wavy-ocean.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wavy<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Mikall Hallstrup is the Head of Product and Tyge Vonsbaek is the Head of Brand.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>2. What problems are you trying to solve? What are the benefits of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leapfunder.com\/round\/wavy-bv-28jun2022-160329-1048\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wavy Earplugs<\/a>, and why is your startup a product-market fit?<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We see 3 main problems in the hearing market:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Products are not comfortable and durably built<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Audio and communication are muffled and not clear<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brands and products are designed and marketed as (boring) medicines and do not build a connection with their target audience<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We have created a unique product that is durable, with optimal comfort and clear sound. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here are indicators that we have a product-market fit:<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Customers are sharing their pleasant experiences with us on social media<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Repeat orders<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Questions about new versions, product improvements and our plans for the future<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We don\u2019t have to explain to our customers why the product is designed the way it is, they understand the benefits themselves<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>3.\u00a0You have a live round on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leapfunder.com\/rounds\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leapfunder<\/a>.
