It\u2019s about clarity, not perfection. You can\u2019t build a stable foundation if you don\u2019t know what\u2019s crumbling.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-cut-spending-to-the-bare-essentials\">2: Cut spending to the bare essentials<\/h2>\n<p>Next, I\u2019d shift into temporary survival mode, even if I was earning a decent income. The goal is to stop the financial bleeding and give myself room to breathe.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s what that would look like:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pause all non-essential spending<\/li>\n<li>Cancel unused subscriptions<\/li>\n<li>Cook every meal at home for the timebeing<\/li>\n<li>Set a strict weekly cash spending cap<\/li>\n<li>Remove shopping apps from my phone<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is the \u201creset\u201d phase. Short-term sacrifice for long-term stability.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-3-focus-on-fast-cash-flow-opportunities\">3: Focus on fast cash flow opportunities<\/h2>\n<p>When you\u2019re starting from zero, the first priority is to get money in the door fast. The goal isn\u2019t to be perfect, it\u2019s to be consistent.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-6-choose-a-debt-payoff-strategy\">6: Choose a debt payoff strategy<\/h2>\n<p>If I had debt, I\u2019d pick one of two payoff methods:<\/p>\n<p>And I\u2019d call my lenders to ask about:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hardship programs<\/li>\n<li>Lower interest options<\/li>\n<li>Payment deferrals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Most people don\u2019t realize: your lenders may be more flexible than you think. And they worst thing they can say is no!<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-7-start-learning-about-money-every-day\">7: Start learning about money every day<\/h2>\n<p>If I had to start over, I\u2019d also  make <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clevergirlfinance.com\/course-packages\/\">financial education<\/a> a daily habit. Even 10 to 15 minutes a day is great.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019d dive into:<\/p>\n<p>Because knowledge leads to confidence. And confidence leads to action.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-8-automate-what-i-can\">8: Automate what I can<\/h2>\n<p>Even if I could only save $5 a week, I\u2019d automate it. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clevergirlfinance.com\/how-to-automate-finances\/\">Automation<\/a> removes the emotional labor. It makes progress the default.
