The single arrives after a major moment for the project: a \u00b5-Ziq<\/strong> remix of \u2018Adrenaline Slip\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, premiered by Wonderland Magazine<\/strong>, which helped broaden Keane\u2019s reach across the IDM and experimental electronic landscape. Coverage from Magnetic Magazine<\/strong>, Illustrate Magazine<\/strong>, WWAM<\/strong>, Music For All<\/strong>, and Good Music Radar<\/strong> has kept his debut album Adrenaline Slip<\/em><\/strong> in steady circulation, framing Keane as one of the scene\u2019s new boundary-pushers.<\/p>\n Keane brings classical training and a restless, DIY sensibility into the Textbook Maneuver<\/strong> identity. He folds influences spanning Genesis<\/strong>, Rush<\/strong>, Gary Numan<\/strong>, The Postal Service<\/strong>, U.N.K.L.E.<\/strong>, and Phantogram<\/strong> into a sound that shifts between patient ambient spaces and the sharper contours of IDM. This past October, I had just finished releasing some projects and took a break to write something new. As I was composing, I had feelings of nostalgia, echoes of the past, places I have been, walking through music school halls, etc and they all came together into \u2018<\/em>Places<\/em><\/strong>\u2019. I used effects and distortion to bring out that nostalgia.
