Brillaint tactics, guys.

Impressions:

When it skipped the OP, my initial thought was “thank christ, we’re ending things this week.” Of course, that was mistaken. The episode would only go downhill from there. My favorite part of the terrible writing was the entire start. The evil cult hides in an underground compound with a narrow hall filled with traps. And doesn’t bother to blockade or defend any of it. No. Their entire army waits in the dungeon’s dedicated giant open fightin’ shrine, whereupon two football teams worth of random NPCs appear out of thin air to engage in stills at each other. God, it’s stupid.

The rest goes the same as it always does. Some random ugly jerk declares that they have some power that will stop them, Scarlet says “nuh uh” and it doesn’t do anything, two stills of her having punched someone, on to the next one. I don’t even know who half these idiots are. I’m not sure if we’re even supposed to know who some of these people are, like the prince 1v1. All these dudes blend together because they’re all functionally the same. There’s also the ending to the episode. It pretends like it’s going to be a big dramatic thing of her having to face her mind controlled boyfriend going into the ED, then there’s about 5 seconds after the ED where she immediately just hits him and knocks him out before the next episode preview kicks in. Ya’ll thought this was a good idea? Oh, some minor drama at long last. Just kidding. It was nothing. Cheat power all the way into more cheat power. This is what I get for giving a villainess show a chance. Only suffering.
