At GreenGeeks, we like to celebrate the wins of our customers, and today, we\u2019re spotlighting MoodUS Media<\/a> and their growing business. Join me as I interview Tim Robinson and learn how his business grew by quadrupling its client list due to utilizing web services.<\/p>\n Since February of 2024, MoodUS Media has gained a great deal of momentum using our services to expand the business. And it\u2019s stories like this that often help to motivate and empower anyone looking to follow suit with a reseller account.<\/p>\n MoodUS Media provides web design services in addition to video development, tape digitizing, digital advertising and an AI Audit that can help streamline the business of clients while identifying things such as cash leaks and ad waste. MoodUS has also built sites for foundations, law offices, and a variety of small businesses looking to make an online impact.<\/p>\n Currently, they manage about 50 hosting accounts of elite and high-end clients. In fact, they are upgrading the reselling account to accommodate even more customers. Part of the growth has a lot to do with setting up the reseller accounts and offering more services.<\/p>\n With WHMCS we went from passing off hosting to offering our own web hosting directly, saving clients money and creating a recurring profit center\u2014and we have full control of our websites.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Since launching the business, hosting and maintenance make up roughly half of their revenue. Thanks to offering the web services as an extension of the business model, the company has quadrupled its client base!<\/p>\n According to Tim, expanding to include hosting essentially saved the business.<\/p>\n If it wasn\u2019t for our web hosting business, we wouldn\u2019t be alive.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Three important facets that Tim looks for in hosting are reliability, pricing, and customer service. Using WHMCS to manage billing, these three elements are incredibly important to keep the business afloat.<\/p>\n This also includes things like keeping costs reasonable. As cPanel\u2019s rates increased, GreenGeeks helps keep server rates accommodating to clients of all kinds. Meaning, MoodUS Media can offer great services without passing too many of those rate increases on to customers.<\/p>\n Comparing GreenGeeks\u2019 customer support versus their last host, Tim is pleased with the results. As a reseller, when something goes wrong, clients will blame you. So, it\u2019s important to have issues solved as quickly as possible. Otherwise, it could lead to a loss of business.<\/p>\n The customer support is much better and tech support is solved much faster.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n A lot of extra costs go into maintaining your own servers for web hosting. Power outages, hardware replacements, software updates, security methods, and client backups can cost a great deal of money. But as a reseller, those issues are addressed by GreenGeeks, giving MoodUS more freedom to run its business rather than maintain the hosting hardware and software.<\/p>\n One of the nice things about our services is that we offer a WHMCS license with your account. And that\u2019s something Tim loved about GreenGeeks.<\/p>\n The MoodusMedia.com website only gets around 1,000 visits per month. In essence, most of their customers are driven by referrals. That means traffic to their site is not the primary focus.<\/p>\n Although they invest in social engagement, local advertising, email, and other marketing tactics, the business relies heavily on internal industry referrals and networking.<\/p>\n The primary concern for Tim is how the client\u2019s websites perform under the GreenGeeks umbrella. And they have some heavy sites to manage without worrying about performance issues.<\/p>\n Tim was kind enough to share some data with us to help highlight how well the web hosting performs for a few of his customers.<\/p>\n In the case of a local youth center, the site averages roughly 2,139 unique visits per month. What makes this astonishing is how well the reselling package handles spikes when the customer is on television or when running big drives, such as the one in August, when traffic increased by almost double its average.<\/p>\n Now, what about a small WordPress site? Data from Tim shows us the data from a local covered wagon touring company and how it averages 3,977 visits per month with ease.<\/p>\n Now, let\u2019s look at something meatier. According to MoodUS Media, one of their government sites doesn\u2019t merely handle the traffic well, but also the various document downloads that happen on the website. <\/p>\n That\u2019s because most local government sites host files that are needed for civic documentation and submission. You may have done this yourself on your local government\u2019s website.<\/p>\n In this case, the site can handle 114 views per hour while maintaining a steady flow of bandwidth needed for file downloads! Of course, the spikes often coincide with elections and important announcements. Nonetheless, the website handles those spikes without fear of overloading the servers or crashing the site.<\/p>\n What all of this means is that the reseller accounts can handle accounts of varying degrees, whether it\u2019s a small business blog or a government website. Mix in the expertise of MoodUS Media, and magic happens for the customers.<\/p>\n One of the first points that stood out to Tim was how GreenGeeks was \u201canother set of hands\u201d to help when things go awry. This translates to helping MoodUS make the most out of what they spend.<\/p>\n Time is always a factor when considering goals. And Tim appreciates the integration of WHMCS to assist with billing. Automation can cut a lot of costs, and we try to make those happen for customers as often as possible.<\/p>\n WHMCS is an amazing backend that helped automate our billing and has helped make us money.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Essentially, we helped MoodUS Media turn a \u201cheadache into a recurring profit center.\u201d<\/p>\n Perhaps one of the most common complaints I\u2019ve seen from those dealing with technical support staff is how they often treat the customer like they don\u2019t know what they\u2019re doing. While in some cases, it is true that some lack sufficient knowledge, there seems to be a blanket attitude from many tech support staff at various web hosting companies.<\/p>\n However, here at GreenGeeks, we don\u2019t go out of our way to make anyone feel less than. We try to offer a high level of respect to all of our customers to help them in their time of need.
