The term can be used in a derogatory way to characterise a woman as \u201cnagging\u201d or \u201cbad-tempered\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He called the Chancellor an \u201cideologically corrupted and incompetent harpy\u201d and a \u201cvicious harpy\u201d, and referred to Phillipson, the Education Secretary, a \u201cMarxist harpy\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In July, Parry called Cooper \u201ca lying harpy\u201d and in September, he said Kendall was \u201ca totalitarian harpy\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Parry also shared a post suggesting Parliament would be filled with Muslim MPs by 2035, with the caption: \u201cThere won\u2019t be any women\u2026\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The revelations raise further questions about Reform\u2019s vetting process, which Farage vowed to \u201cprofessionalise\u201d after the 2024 election, following a string of candidate scandals.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.co.uk\/entry\/exclusive-farage-urged-to-sack-reform-candidate-who-said-david-lammy-should-go-home_uk_69383b3fe4b013f1f7d31b74\">According to the HuffPost UK<\/a>, Labour MP Calvin Bailey, who served in the RAF, has now written to Farage urging him to take action against his candidate.<\/p>\n<p>In his letter, he said the Telegraph article \u201cexposed a string of utterly vile racist and misogynistic remarks made by Dr Parry about fellow politicians\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Bailey added: \u201cDo you endorse Dr Parry\u2019s grim remarks \u2013 or will you sack him as your candidate?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA failure to act on your part would further demonstrate a lack of suitability for high office.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The MP also said in his letter to Farage: \u201cYou have consistently claimed Reform\u2019s vetting procedures are of the highest standards.
