fans of the book, the film and<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.edspire.co.uk\/year_2019\/07\/06\/london-childrens-ballet-shoes-ad-presstrip\/\">The London Children\u2019s Ballet <\/a><br \/>We had high expectations but also<br \/>We were very anxious<br \/>How would this wonderful story<br \/>Transfer from page to stage<\/p>\n<p>We need not have worried<br \/>From the moment we arrived<br \/>At the theatre<br \/>We knew that everything<br \/>Was going to be alright <\/p>\n<p>The excitement and anticipation<br \/>Was electric<br \/>I know it sounds cheesy<br \/>But it is true <\/p>\n<p>The content of the programme<br \/>Is perfection<br \/>Bea, a 9 year old budding ballerina<br \/>Loved the character quiz<br \/>The ballet word search and quiz<br \/>The theatre terms quiz <\/p>\n<p>Esther and I loved the history<br \/>And the article by Jacqueline Wilson<br \/>On how Ballet Shoes became a childhood favourite <\/p>\n<p>We all also loved the pin badges<br \/>Representing the Fossil sisters<br \/>Available to buy in the foyer <\/p>\n<p>As we entered the auditorium<br \/>To the sounds of wonderful<br \/>1930s jazz and swing music<br \/>We were given postcards<br \/>So the girls could spot<br \/>Some of the finer details<br \/>Of the amazing multi-level set<br \/>While waiting for the show to start <\/p>\n<p>Bea was soon thoroughly distracted<br \/>By all the ballerinas<br \/>Twirling through the audience<br \/>Showing guests some simple steps<br \/>Bea was desperate to get up and dance<br \/>It was such a wonderful welcome<br \/>To have the cast among the audience<br \/>Reaching out to those who had come<br \/>To support them <\/p>\n<p>Before the show had begun<br \/>We knew we were in for a real treat<br \/>I could not wait to see<br \/>What would happen on the stage<br \/>And how the story would begin <\/p>\n<p>Ballet Shoes has an incredible ensemble cast<br \/>Every person on the stage was amazing<br \/>I loved every character<br \/>Each played with humour and heart<br \/>And a real depth of emotion<br \/>The three sisters were particularly wonderful<br \/>Bea loved Posy and her passion for ballet<br \/>I loved Pauline <\/p>\n<p>This incredible show was woven with<br \/>Important messages for young and old<br \/>About the importance of<br \/>Dance and drama and following your dreams<br \/>About working hard<br \/>Messages about being true to yourself<br \/>About found families<br \/>About love and loss and loyalty <\/p>\n<p>There were wonderful show scenes when the girls<br \/>Were part of a whimsical Alice in Wonderland<br \/>And an Avant Garde A Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream<\/p>\n<p>The production was warm and funny<br \/>It dealt with loss so sensitively<br \/>This bookish show has something<br \/>For everyone <\/p>\n<p>We cannot wait to go again this year<br \/>For us it is going to be even more special<br \/>As Sienna Arif-Knights is playing Petrova <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" better as Sally Hope<br \/>From Malory Towers<br \/>My children have grown up with<br \/>Sally on screen and cannot wait to see<br \/>Petrova on stage <\/p>\n<p>Esther and I are also excited to see<br \/>Scarlett Monahan as Posy<br \/>Esther and I watched Scarlett dance<br \/>When she was in The London Children\u2019s Ballet<br \/>Production of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edspire.co.uk\/year_2019\/07\/06\/london-childrens-ballet-shoes-ad-presstrip\/\">Ballet Shoes <\/a><br \/>We cannot wait to see her again <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\"
