Journey to the Upper World for Guidance on patterns on earth, and in our civilization, that provide a perspective on what the near-term future of the earth might be like<\/span><\/h2>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

The purpose of this journey is to travel to the Upper World<\/strong> and ask the Spirits if they can give guidance on patterns that are discernible in the World on earth that indicate what the future will be like<\/strong>.. Specifically, I aim to travel to the Spirit realm of the Upper World to ask the Spirits about discerning patterns on earth and in our civilization that provide a perspective on what the near-term future of the earth might be like<\/span><\/p>\n

I started from my mantle edge and am going up alongside the beam or pathway that I usually use.. I\u2019m floating easily upwards, ascending alongside it, not being pushed from below or pulled from above.. My intended destination is the clearing in a forest in the Upper World where my Spirits often assemble<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m keen to direct this question to one of my Spirits in particular who specializes in putting pieces together and making sense of it<\/strong>.. She is ideal for this, like putting puzzle pieces together and forming a sensible picture.. I see her in this clearing; she appears on a carpet.. The patterns that she can create on that carpet will reveal important understandings and perspectives<\/span><\/p>\n

She actually looks a little bit downcast, saying that asking for predictions about the future is not that desirable\u2026 I clarify what I\u2019m asking: \u201cWhat do existing patterns imply for the near-term future?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Instead of having me look at the carpet and the patterns on it, she\u2019s taken me up to the top of a hill\u2026 I\u2019ve been to this hill at least a couple of times before, and the theme has always been looking out over an expansive landscape and having a big perspective of things<\/strong>\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Core Guidance: Focusing on Animal Well-being<\/span><\/h2>\n

She says that there\u2019s one philosophical approach or attitude which is \u201cof what will be will be\u201d\u2026 I tell her I\u2019m interested in seeing patterns or getting an understanding and perspective of things that could be changed or need to be changed in order to have a World that is more peaceful, less violent, more kind, and where people create less suffering for themselves and for the animal World<\/strong>\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

She responds that one of the most powerful approaches we could take is to think about what do animals need for their well-being<\/strong>\u2026 If we moderate and choose our actions and our decisions in terms of what is good for animals\u2014for wildlife, that would be for birds, for squirrels, for bears, for lions, for fish\u2014that approach will make the biggest difference in enhancing the well-being of humanity\u2026 She says that if we take care of the animal kingdom, those decisions will impact the most positively on the human kingdom\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

She notes that this has to do with loss of habitat, pollution, and overuse<\/strong>, like when it comes to things like fishing and breeding of cows\u2026 She says there are so many things where there is an imbalance\u2026 Instead of thinking about what we can change for humans, we should think about what we can improve for the well-being of animals, and we will hugely benefit<\/strong>\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Consulting Experts and Facing the Implementation Problem<\/span><\/h3>\n

She advises to think about individual animals and take an example from an individual animal\u2026 I think, \u201cOkay, what about grizzly bears?\u201d\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

She points out that one of the wonderful things about humans is that there is so much research; there are so many researchers who are studying, in this example, grizzly bears, their lifestyles, and cycles of life\u2026 There\u2019s no lack of information, but one needs to consult the experts\u2026 Expert guidance is there; we don\u2019t have to make guesses, we can consult\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

She says this is where something like an AI query, Chat GPT, and other AI engines, could be a very good start<\/strong>\u2026 For example, asking: \u201cBased on expert research, what are the best things that can be done to protect and enhance the life of grizzly bears?\u201d\u2026 She says there\u2019s no lack of information\u2026 The problem is humans putting those recommendations into practice<\/strong>\u2026 That is the issue we run up against when we consider the well-being of animals as the strategy to improve the well-being of humans and the planet and our future: there can be so many recommendations, but are humans able to implement them?\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Challenge of Human Behavior<\/span><\/h2>\n

Naturally, there is another whole issue to this, which is: how can we help humans take a big, broad, higher perspective that has them be willing to look after the well-being of animals as a first priority?<\/strong>\u2026 How can we change human psychology in order to change human behavior?\u2026 This is the big, big problem\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

She identifies four hugely essential dynamics<\/strong> that govern human decision-making and will get in the way of humans not taking the high-road perspective of looking after the animal kingdom..:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Greed<\/strong>\u2026 Humans being governed by operating with the profit motivation<\/strong>\u2026<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Insufficiency motivation<\/strong>, which also includes a motivation of \u201cwe want more\u201d\u2026 Even if there\u2019s no insufficiency, there\u2019s a prevailing human approach to existence of \u201cI want more, I want more, I want more\u201d\u2026 There is not being satisfied\u2026<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Not being willing to share<\/strong>\u2026<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Not being willing to contribute<\/strong>\u2026 In the sharing scenario, we don\u2019t want humans who just take from other humans who are willing to share without doing their best to contribute as well\u2026<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Looking after the animal kingdom in its widest sense, so that includes fish, actually is in the best interests of humans\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

    The Pattern of Profit<\/span><\/h3>\n

    She says, unfortunately, one huge pattern in certainly in America but pretty much everywhere in the World, is that of being governed by the profit motive<\/strong>\u2026 Corporations are taking over all these sources of production and the acts of production, and they\u2019re governed by increasing profit\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

    She actually uses the word despicable<\/strong> for this\u2026 Hooked into that is human greed\u2026 The standard desire now is to be a billionaire, not just a millionaire, and have huge homes and estates, multiple homes, multiple estates, yachts, and private planes\u2026 It is an extravagance of desire and dissatisfaction with something that is not ordinary\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/p>\n

    Cultivating a Higher Perspective<\/span><\/h2>\n

    I comment that these human psychological behavioral habits seem to me, to Neil, such a tough challenge to make any changes there\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

    My Spirit says yes, the key is to have humans have this higher perspective<\/strong>\u2026 She notes this is something that has come up a number of times previously on journeys\u2014the importance, the crucialness, of having a higher perspective\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

    I ask if this has something to do with how children are raised and their experiences in the home, at school, and in their culture, where having a higher perspective can be cultivated\u2026 This, of course, implies having parents and teachers and more of the general culture placing importance on having a higher perspective\u2026 That seems close to impossible\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

    She says, \u201cAnd don\u2019t forget about churches and religion<\/strong>\u201c\u2026 She says there\u2019s so much appropriate emphasis in churches and generally within religious institutions on being a good person\u2026 But this needs to be expanded beyond following the Ten Commandments as a guideline\u2014not doing bad things to other humans\u2026 Again, it\u2019s \u201cdo unto others as you would have them do unto you\u201d\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/p>\n

    Confirmation and Final Warning<\/span><\/h2>\n

    As I\u2019m doing this journey, I\u2019m lying here with my cat, Birdie, next to me\u2026 Birdie has snuggled right up alongside me and given me a few licks\u2026 I understand that this is a confirmation from the Spirit World<\/strong> through Birdie that this whole idea about taking care of the animal kingdom is really important and on track\u2026 That will be good for humans; that will be fantastic for humans\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

    Of course, there\u2019s a whole long list that one can make of how the animal kingdom is suffering in terms of loss of habitat, poaching, pesticides, and consumption of animals<\/strong>\u2026 So there is this overriding notion of how humans can change their perspective\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

    She says that, again, the important people are the parents, the teachers, the religious leaders, all leaders, and people that are prominent in business and politics<\/strong>\u2026 This is where politicians should be focused\u2026 If the whole World could share in this idea of let\u2019s look after the animal kingdom, the World would be transformed<\/strong>\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

    Specific Examples<\/span><\/h3>\n

    She says there are still areas of the World that can be protected, although those areas are increasingly threatened\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

    She mentions things like the consumption of meat<\/strong>\u2026 It\u2019s on such a vast scale, certainly in countries like America and Europe\u2026 She\u2019s not saying we shouldn\u2019t be eating meat, but the extent to which meat is in the diet\u2014beef, chicken, fish\u2014could be greatly reduced, and we would be no worse off\u2026 In fact, we would be, if anything, healthier for it\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

    She says that thoughts about global warming are good, but there\u2019s a certain kind of vagueness and controversy about them\u2026 Things would be much less vague if we were determining actions, behaviors, and plans guided by looking after the animal kingdom<\/strong>\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/p>\n

    Message for the Schapera Show Listeners<\/span><\/h2>\n

    I ask the Spirit if there\u2019s anything else that she can tell me or show me that would be interesting and important for the listeners to the Shapura show, and respected as guidance from the Spirits\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

    She says, \u201cYes, these changes should begin in the more westernized, materialistic, capitalistic countries like the USA<\/strong>\u201c\u2026 We should set an example that shows that we are willing to make what one might think of as sacrifices, but they\u2019re actually acting in our own very best interest\u2026 The USA should set an example to the World\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

    She says, \u201cIt would be so incredible if prospective political officeholders campaigned on a genuine platform of looking after animals<\/strong>\u201c\u2026 That would be very unique\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

    She comes back to the importance of the perspective of parents and teachers and churches and religious organizations and business people who have a platform<\/strong>\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

    Although predicting the future is not what she wants to do, she says if we don\u2019t do this, one can use that phrase that the consequences will be too awful to contemplate<\/strong>\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

    \"\"<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/p>\n

    I\u2019m left with a horrible image of human skeletons scattered about on a desolate plain<\/strong>\u2026 She says, \u201cThis is all what she\u2019s spoken about today is not wishful thinking. It\u2019s crucial. It\u2019s fundamental<\/strong>\u201c\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

    As I\u2019ve been speaking this last bit, the drums have changed to call me back\u2026 I thank the Spirits, especially the Spirit of the Upper World, the one who recognizes and interprets patterns\u2026 I go back out of the clearing to the beam that I can follow, going down and down and down alongside the beam\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

    I feel a little bit upset by the last warning about horrible consequences and that image of skeletons on a windswept dry plain\u2026 I thank the Spirits for their incredible wisdom, the wisdom of the Spirit World that is there for us to ask and receive\u2026 The result is that we have to respect what the Spirits say\u2026 Respect the wisdom of the Spirits<\/strong>\u2026 That\u2019s their parting message: \u201cRespect the wisdom of the Spirits\u201d\u2026 Thank you, Spirits. Thank you. Thank you. The journey is over\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n
