Hello and welcome to The Schapera Show where Viv and Neil explore this big adventure called Life. Our guest today is a woman after my own heart, and I mean this literally. When we met, we discovered that we have an astonishing amount in common, as we will soon reveal. In the meantime, let\u2019s welcome Susanna Bair, who has lots and lots of important heartfelt information to share with you. Welcome, Susanna, thank you for coming on the show!<\/span><\/p>\n

Susanna: Thank you, Vivien, thank you for having me.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vivien: Susanna, I think we should begin with you telling us who you are and what you do!<\/span><\/p>\n

Susanna:<\/span><\/p>\n

Vivien: How long have you been doing this?<\/span><\/p>\n

40 plus years. Studied Clinical Psychology, and Counseling Courses and Meditation for 60 years<\/span><\/p>\n

Mentoring program \u2013 in charge of Meditation School called I am Heart \u2013 teach seminars and courses, have an app, recordings built up a school of the past 35 years.<\/span><\/p>\n

People in the school have mentoring in addition to learning how to meditate.<\/span><\/p>\n

When you work with the heart all kinds of things come up \u2013 have wounds in your heart, also joy and anger, need to be uncovered, explored and healed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Susanna Bair is a mystic and teacher of heart-centered meditation and co-founder of iamHeart, a nonprofit school dedicated to cultivating emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing through Heart Rhythm Meditation (HRM). <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Vivien: Is your school like a community?<\/span><\/p>\n

Susanna: We only initiate if they ask for it. Sufi lineage. The practices have adjusted these practices. Sufis talk about working with the heart but they don\u2019t listen to their heartbeat.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vivien: Can you tell us some of the insights about our hearts and our heartbeats?<\/span><\/p>\n

Susanna: When you look for your heartbeat then you are in your body. People hide from their emotions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Different kinds of hearts:<\/span><\/p>\n

The physical heart \u2013 feel through the breath. All meditation techniques you breathe. Slow, full and deep \u2013 full inhalation and full exhalation. A full breath 3-4 heartbeats, the breath is being counted in the rhythm of the heart.<\/span><\/p>\n

The emotional (energetic) heart \u2013 usually where you find the wounds and the problems. There is a lot of healing and transformation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Also feel the electromagnetic field of the heart. You can feel close to people who are far away from you. Forgiveness can happen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Third one \u2013 the spiritual heart. The being that knows what we are doing here and why. Can start connecting with the invisible world. Ancestral healing can happen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vivien: Susanna, can you tell us any examples?<\/span><\/p>\n

Susanna: Story of man who saw his father in meditation, asking for forgiveness.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vivien: Is there a process to this?<\/span><\/p>\n

Susanna: 3 Big Steps: gratitude\/thankfulness, ability to forgive and overlook, and become aware of what one wishes for.<\/span><\/p>\n

Eternity, Infinity and Perfection \u2013 terms of the spiritual heart.<\/span><\/p>\n

People can be shortsighted, don\u2019t know where they are from and where they are going.<\/span><\/p>\n

People don\u2019t pay attention to their heart. Little children like to speak from their heart until 6-7 years old.<\/span><\/p>\n

People who live from their heart are in touch with God, learn how to forgive, find out your purpose \u2013 all through the heart.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vivien: Hello, everyone! Here we are on The Schapera Show<\/em> with our guest, Susanna Bair, who is speaking to us about matters of the heart in a most uplifting and informative way. Thank you, Susanna, let\u2019s continue. I wonder if you could tell us more about yourself?<\/span><\/p>\n

Susanna: is from Austria, came to the USA in 1980.<\/span><\/p>\n

My family lived for 400 years in Hungary. Austria and Hungary were one country for a long time, the Austrian Empire. In 1946 Germany lost the war. Grandparents were sent back home. Susanna\u2019s parents were allowed to stay. 1956 was the revolution, constantly had the secret police disturbing us. Remembers this in the night. Left and moved to Hungary. Great aunt was Mother Superior, stayed in the monastery, lived like refugees. Studied at the boarding school.<\/span><\/p>\n

Started Clinical Psychology in Vienna \u2013 wasn\u2019t really what she wanted. Kept moving and ended up in the USA. Went to an acting school. Then moved to America to continue my studies. Then had a crisis. Found my spiritual teacher \u2013 asked my husband and me to create a school.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pir Vilayat \u2013 Sufi teacher, learned a lot about<\/span><\/p>\n

Sufism \u2013 mystics<\/strong> that always go to the esoteric teachings of the religions. Some practices go back to the Egyptians. People will say Islamic sect, but it is because it is a recent religion. Islam is about 800 \u2013 900 years old.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam<\/span><\/p>\n

The Divine Feminism predates, the Mayans, Goddess energy<\/span><\/p>\n

provide a model for developing the heart\u2019s potential. Before we dive into the<\/span><\/p>\n

more technical parts of the practice, let\u2019s talk about the heart\u2019s potential. What does it mean to lead with<\/span><\/p>\n

the heart\u2019s potential in your daily life, work, and relationships?<\/span><\/p>\n

Was looking for the science of the soul in Psychology.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Puran\u2019s story: from Pennsylvania, scientist \u2013 math and IT \u2013 online since 1998 \u2013 into world peace. Deep longing of the mystic. Inventor \u2013 windmill<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Our healing modality \u2013 we use the heart. Energy from the heart moves right through the hands. We absorb through our breath, and our palms, and work with invisible beings. Left right energy.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

We have books and a graduate program. Wanted to connect with other people out there. Interesting to share with others. We have a lot of material and tend to isolate.<\/span><\/p>\n

Most interesting cases<\/span><\/p>\n

2 students know each other through our school. In the last year they figured out Canadian Native American going back to the Wampanag Tribe. White people came in moved people out of America, lot were killed, children and women disappeared. Other woman from the General Washington lineage, and found all these abusive ancestors.<\/span><\/p>\n

Found out child abuser of girls and boys \u2013 lineage of abuse. 2 women telling this story, hour presentation, healed each other\u2019s wounds. Incredible, bringing their ancestors stories into. Wiped each other\u2019s tears.<\/span><\/p>\n

Both holding so much shame. Even that her brother killed her father as an accident.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vivien: Most important message for the listeners?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

All of existence is one being. All the differences we have through race\/religion etc. The heart has this longing \u2013 there is only ONE heart. You can connect with any other heart in the world. Electromagnetic energy moves at the speed of light, so we can instantly connect.<\/span><\/p>\n
