Ever since Wicked: For Good came out earlier this month, it’s been a very hot topic of conversation.

From unscripted improv that made the most emotional scene hit even harder to the red carpet invasion at the Singapore premiere, there’s certainly been plenty to unpack.

But one thing has shone through the discourse like a bright, blinding, grey light: Elphaba’s sex cardigan.

Without giving too many spoilers away (even though the musical is over 20 years old, guys), Elphaba’s sex cardigan is what the internet has dubbed a grey, lumpy, very distressed, and staggeringly large piece of knitwear that the character wears during a, shall we say, pivotal scene.

Some people love it, others utterly despise it, but everyone’s been talking about it.

If you, like me, have been cursed with the knowledge of the sex cardigan and can think of little else, here’s a range of high street and designer options to shop that give ‘Let’s go, Fiyero’.

You’ll be hard-pressed to find a cardi that’s quite as big and quite as chunky as Ms Elphaba’s outside of Oz, but this is a strong start.
