CBD product that contains cannabidoil, terpenes and naturally occurring flavanoids but no THC.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

The scientific name of the plant that produce marijuana and hemp. There are two main types of cannabis: sativa and indica.  Cannabis sativa (hemp) contains less than 0.3% THC and is what CBD is derived from. Cannabis indica contains greater than 0.3% THC.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Cannabidiol (CBD)<\/h3>\n

<\/strong><\/td>\n

One of the primary cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant.  Contains many health benefits and no psychoactive effects.  <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

CB1 Receptors<\/h3>\n

<\/strong><\/td>\n

Cannabinoid receptors found primarily in the central nervous system (nerves in the brain and spinal cord).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/p>\n

CB2 Receptors<\/h3>\n

<\/strong><\/td>\n

Cannabinoid receptors found primarily in the peripheral nervous system (nerves outside the brain and spinal cord).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/p>\n

Endocannabinoids<\/h3>\n

<\/strong><\/td>\n

Cannabinoid molecules produced by the body naturally.  <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/p>\n

Endocannabinoid Receptors  <\/h3>\n

<\/strong><\/td>\n

Binding sites for cannabinoids within the body and brain.   <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/p>\n

Endocannabinoid System (ECS)  <\/h3>\n

<\/strong><\/td>\n

Naturally occurring system of endocannabinoids and cannabinoid receptors in the body which help regulate basic functions like sleep, mood and appetite.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Entourage Effect<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/td>\n

Relates to the combining of multiple constituents of the cannabis plant to produce an enhanced therapeutic effect greater than the individual effects alone. <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/p>\n

Farm Bill<\/h3>\n

<\/strong><\/td>\n

Federal legislation passed in December 2018 that removed hemp from the controlled substance list, and instead placed it under the supervision of the Department of Agriculture making it legal to grow in all 50 states. <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/p>\n

Full Spectrum<\/h3>\n

<\/strong><\/td>\n

CBD product that contains small amounts of THC, as well as other cannabinoids, terpenes and flavanoids.  <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Plant containing naturally occurring CBD. Also grown for fibrous materials and used industrially to manufacture such things as clothing, oils, lotions, plastic, paper, fuel and construction materials.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Phytocannabinoids<\/h3>\n

<\/strong><\/td>\n

Naturally occurring chemical compounds present in the cannabis plant.  Common examples include CBD, THC and CBDG.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/p>\n

Sublingual<\/h3>\n

<\/strong><\/td>\n

Consumption method of applying CBD products, typically oil, under the tongue before consuming.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n

Terpenes<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/td>\n

Natural aromatic compounds found in plants, responsible for the scent and flavor profiles.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/p>\n

Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)<\/h3>\n

<\/strong><\/td>\n

One of the primary cannabinoids found in cannabis. Responsible for the psychoactive “high”.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

A cannabis product that mimics water solubility usually through use of liposomes or nanoemulsion techniques.  <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
