A mining company was moving tons of clay for processing.\u00a0 They were having some housekeeping issues as the clay would collect under conveyors, on the tracks, and on the ground.\u00a0 Currently, they use two people with shovels to scoop the clay into 55-gallon drums.\u00a0 The conditions were tough while doing this backbreaking labor.\u00a0 They contacted EXAIR to see if we could help.\u00a0<\/p>\n

EXAIR offers a large line of Industrial Housekeeping Products<\/a>.\u00a0 But with the clay, it had some larger clumps that would be difficult for a 1 \u00bd\u201d vacuum hose.\u00a0 EXAIR has another option to accommodate applications like these, the EXAIR Drum Cover.\u00a0 Now, different diameters of Line Vacs can be used to vacuum or move material.\u00a0 The Drum Cover allows the air to pass through a filter media while keeping the material inside the drum.\u00a0 It is designed to cover the entire opening of the 55-gallon drum that they were using.\u00a0 The Drum Cover<\/a> has an opening at the top to accommodate hoses up to 3\u201d (76mm) in diameter.\u00a0 A strap with guide loops is used to secure the Drum Cover under a rolled-edge lip of the drum to easily move to different drums.\u00a0 The fabric is also cleanable, washable, and reusable.\u00a0<\/p>\n

For this customer above, they required an abrasion resistance Line Vac to handle the clay material.\u00a0 EXAIR offers the Heavy Duty Line Vac<\/a>, made from hardened alloy steel, and the Ultra Duty Line Vac<\/a>, which has a ceramic insert for better abrasion resistance.\u00a0 The customer selected the model 172200 2\u201d Ultra Duty Line Vac Kit.\u00a0 The kit includes the Ultra Duty Line Vac, a filter, a regulator, and a bracket.\u00a0 They also requested a conveyance hose to carry the clay to the drum from 20 feet (6 meters) away to give them range to move the suction end.\u00a0The powerful suction and the larger diameter made it easy to fill a 55-gallon drum.<\/p>\n
