A LoyaltyLobby reader messaged us last week that the Graduate by Hilton New York had suddenly cancelled their booking for a visit to NYC this year, blaming an overbooking.<\/p>\n

Turns out the hotel\u2019s last day to be open OR remain associated with Hilton is today!<\/p>\n

Hilton Guest Assistance offered the reader a paltry 30,000 Honors points when they should have relocated the affected guests to the same or a higher-quality hotel, keeping the price the same.<\/p>\n

Those who book hotels way in advance may find themselves in a situation where they book a \u201cby Hilton\u201d property, only to have Hilton dump them on the street and tell them to book another hotel at double or triple the rate.<\/p>\n

Those affected by this hotel closure should contact Hilton Guest Assistance and demand that they be booked at a similar or higher-quality hotel at the same price, using cash or points.<\/p>\n
