The movie Marty Supreme\u2019s Zoom Call, TVC for Bang &amp; Olufsen and other good stuff are part of this week\u2019s compilation. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Marty Supreme: marketing Zoom call <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Marty Supreme is an upcoming sports comedy movie. In a fantastic ad promotion idea, they show Hollywood star Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet \u2018pitching\u2019 whacked out \u2018marketing\u2019 ideas for the movie. The ad itself is supposedly a recording of the Zoom call. All the actors have done their part perfectly and makes the 18-min watch totally worth it. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Timothee_Chalamet_internal_brand_marketing_meeting_MartySupreme_11.08.2025.mp4\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/wakBARkxqls?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Agency: <a href=\"https:\/\/a24films.com\/\">A24<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I found myself laughing out loud at so many instances and also filled with that \u2018I have been there\u2019 feeling, especially when he said \u2018fruitionized\u2019 and asks the team all sorts of inane questions and they respond with fake enthusiasm. Love the attention to detail including the name of the uploaded file:\u2019<em>Timothee_Chalamet_internal_brand_marketing_meeting_MartySupreme_11.08.2025.mp4<\/em>\u2018 reminding me of days when files were named \u2018final_final\u2019 or \u2018final_without_client_logo\u2019 etc.  <\/p>\n<p>Sadly the situation is also a reflection of the perceptions around advertising &amp; marketing \u2013 that of snake oil salesmen, vacuous ideas and such like. The Zoom call perfectly captures how people react in such calls \u2013 right from the introductions to agreements and pointless comments. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adweek.com\/brand-marketing\/timothee-chalamet-didnt-mean-to-drag-marketers-but-he-did\/\">Mark Ritson rightly commented<\/a> that it\u2019s a reflection of the fact that a majority of marketers (and ad agency folks) lack training, and hence they chase tactical theatrics. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Bang &amp; Olufsen: Sound. Elevated<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Imagine listening to the audio track of a TV commercial on your laptop, appreciating the richness, the detail \u2013 and imagining how much better it would have been if it was on the advertised brand. That was the power of the new Bang &amp; Olufsen ad \u2013 at least that\u2019s how I felt. Created to mark the brand\u2019s 100th anniversary it showcases one family\u2019s love for Bang &amp; Olufsen across generations. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Sound. Italians, their way of life and their love for food has long been a subject of humour in movies &amp; sitcoms. A new campaign for S. Pellegrino, a natural mineral water and drinks brand, \u2018explains\u2019 the reasons why mealtimes stretch un-endingly in Italy, with all the usual references to cousins, leftovers and stories. He was an incredibly talented copywriter and quite a colourful character. Before joining advertising, he held a variety of jobs, including bullfighter, debt collector, and manager for the rock group Judas Priest. He rose to fame when based in Singapore working with Ogilvy &amp; Mather, Batey Ads and The Ball Partnership. Among his famous work, was a print ad for a fake beer brand called XO Beer to prove the effectiveness of print advertising. He <a href=\"https:\/\/campaignbrief.com\/vale-neil-french-leaves-behind-a-legacy-that-reshaped-the-creative-fabric-of-agencies-around-the-world-particularly-across-asia\/\">passed away recently<\/a>, 81 years of age. I think it comes from clarity on both the <em>brand\u2019s business model<\/em> and  <em>tone of voice<\/em>. Also there is confidence in knowing that humour is okay, even if it\u2019s edgy bordering on being \u2018rude\u2019.
