Inspired to greater heights, I took from the fridge the almost-empty can of whipped cream and sprayed it in a fluffy mound on top. Then I picked up the cinnamon shaker and, under watchful toddler eyes, dusted the creamy white with spice\u2026 My toddlers have not lived long enough to prefer pomp and circumstance to simple home-spun happiness; they enjoyed that applesauce immensely.
