The Gold Award recognizes long-term and post-acute care facilities that meet progressively rigorous standards of performance to further improve the lives of their residents. These facilities are amongst the best of the nation, and provide exceptional care for their residents through sustainable, systematic and effective practices. Clif Porter, president and CEO of AHCA\/NCAL, praised these facilities for inspiring others to \u201creach higher, think bigger, and serve better\u201d every day.<\/p>\n<p>NHC Maryland Heights joins the ranks of 57 other facilities that have been honored with this recognition since 2004. The 220-bed skilled nursing facility achieves its mission of \u201ccaring in a better way \u2013 day by day,\u201d by offering a welcoming, home like environment that continuously promotes person centered care, clinical experience, and a deep sense of community.
