On view through Sunday at Chelsea\u2019s handsome <a href=\"https:\/\/www.simscontemporary.com\/appleton\">Sims Contemporary Gallery<\/a> are works from two new series: <a href=\"https:\/\/anewheroemerges.com\/home\/\">\u201cA New Hero Emerges\u201d<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/littlegirlblue.com\/tal\/product\/little-girl-blue-untitled-18-2\/\">\u201cLittle Girl Blue.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The image pictured above, \u201cSon Rise,\u201d \u2014 rendered with acrylic paint and mixed media \u2014 features the Tin Man, a symbol of perseverance, courage and hope for the artist who has been living with Type 1 diabetes since childhood. Just as the Tin Man can\u2019t live without oil, a diabetic cannot live without insulin. Both carry on!<\/p>\n<p>What follows are several more images captured from both series \u2014 \u201cA New Hero Emerges\u201d and \u201cLittle Girl Blue\u201d \u2014 at this past Thursday\u2019s
