Like\u2026.. <em><strong>More fun!<\/strong> <\/em>And quality time with friends and family . It\u2019s creeping up to two years since having my youngest and honestly, I am so ready to mingle again and get back some remnants of my social life. And this is coming from a happy introvert.<\/p>\n<p>I also want to think twice about the things I bring into my home \u2013 starting with a very gradual and intentional decluttering process. It\u2019s a few years overdue, and I\u2019m starting to feel house overwhelm at this point! You know where it feels impossible to keep on top of the daily tidying? That part! I think having a second child has really compounded those feelings. I mean I know toddlers are small \u2013 but they do come with a lot of stuff! And all that stuff is usually everywhere (thanks to said toddler!).<\/p>\n<p>So maybe I just need less stuff? \u2026 and a little order i.e a place for everything . I\u2019ll be sharing the process over on <a href=\"https:\/\/instagram.com\/grillodesigns\">Instagram<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@grillodesigns\">TikTok<\/a> so join me over there !<\/p>\n<p>Anyways\u2026.a few years ago- I saw a post by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/sgardnerstyle\/\">Shavonda from @sgardenerstyle<\/a> sharing all her house plans for the New Year, and I thought it was such a great way to start the year, so I felt inspired to do the same this year . Sometimes putting things out into the world can help to steer you in the right direction and achieve your goals.<\/p>\n<p>So that\u2019s what I wanted to talk about today\u2026.my\u00a0plans for this house in 2023 \u2013 provided nothing drastic happens on the landlords side and we don\u2019t have to move (ideally we\u2019d like to stay here for one more year at least l).<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Porch:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It needs a general paint refresh!<\/li>\n<li>Install better storage system for coats and shoes. I know, I know! But we need something that doesn\u2019t have such a big back rest and doesn\u2019t take up too much space, I would like it to feel less cramped! It looking so grungy and dirty<\/li>\n<li>Paint the divider (yes I\u2019ve decided it\u2019s time)<\/li>\n<li>Incorporate toy storage \/playroom area here in some way! Keep or get rid?<\/li>\n<li>Sort out my cupboards, they are in massive need of organising and decluttering . This needs to be a series right?! \u2026. We\u2019ll see \u2026<\/p>\n<h2>Stairs \/ landing :<\/h2>\n<p>It needs a whole refresh \u2026 although I\u2019ve never really decorated it before so I think this might be the year! Think new light, large art etc!<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Our bedroom :<\/h2>\n<p>It needs a whole new revamp! No kidding!\u2026\u2026.Apart from a few changes over the years the bones of this room have pretty much stayed the same. No more. I need a change! We\u2019ve changed, our lives have changed and I\u2019m just not feeling that black wall! It\u2019s gotta go!
