First thing: clear goals will help you make decisions along the way. You should have an idea of the kind of money you’re going after.

Whether it’s a team of volunteers or an event-organization agency, you should determine who you’ll work with.

You should think about potential donors early in the process, and build your event around them. Like a company builds a product around its target market. Who are your current supporters and what do they like? Who are current and potential major donors?

That’s the fun part. Look for fundraising event ideas and figure out what is the perfect event for your attendees. A charity golf tournament? Community potluck? Silent auction? Spelling bee? Bake sales? Or any other idea you may have. We can help you with all types of events, including non-traditional ones.

With your fundraiser event in mind, you can start making money calculations. Based on your targeted donor base and your expected expenses, you can set an entrance fee.

Depending on event type and event complexity, decide on a date and location. Community center? Prestigious venue? Virtual event? Hybrid event?

Target the right people and promote your event. Try to aim for individuals from whom you can expect a larger donation amount and offer specific information (event details, entry fee, etc.).

People are often perfectly happy to attend a fundraising event. But they don’t need to be there. If they run into a complicated registration process, they might very well give up. Use a user-friendly event registration tool.

Venue, equipment, volunteers, unfolding of activities, everything has to come together. Give yourself a comfortable time frame to organize everything. There are always unforeseen details and adjustments to deal with.

Time for the actual event! While you execute, keep track of donations and expenses. Also, evaluate the event’s success (money raised, number of attendees, feedback, etc.). This will help you with future event organization.

One might think of a fundraising event as a win-lose situation. The organization gets money to support its cause and wins. Donors give money with nothing in return and lose. According to this logic, one might prefer to organize events that build awareness for a cause without raising money.

However, when seen through the lens of psychology rather than traditional economics, fundraising activities often turn out to be win-win situations. The organization gets the money and donors get the satisfaction of helping. They consolidate their self-identity as empathetic, moral individuals.

As mentioned, our services cover your event organization needs from A to Z.
