Morocco can be done in 5, 7, 10, or 14 days, depending on your travel time.

Personally, I would suggest 7-10 days as optimal and realistic because you also don’t want to hurry and be stressed about moving around for a short period of time.

In this Morocco itinerary, there are many different types of trips depending on the number of days of your preference so browse and see what works for you.

Here are some important things to remember when planning your Morocco itinerary:

If you’re a good driver, rent a car in Morocco. However, if you don’t want to deal with police checkpoints and you feel like you are not confident to deal with authorities, do not rent a car. I did this trip alone many times and had no problem dealing with police officers at checkpoints.

If you are visiting during Ramadan, most establishments are closed during the day. I timed one of my trips to Morocco during Ramadan and it was challenging to explore during the day. I did, however, enjoy the cultural immersion and was welcomed in many homes during sunset meals.

Morocco’s intercity public transport system is generally reliable, especially if you use the main train and bus companies. Trains operated by ONCF and buses run by CTM or Supratours are modern, punctual, and comfortable.
