When a friend threw a late-fall party, she served turkey Frito pies. Her husband is unable to eat red meat, so the family has become quite adept at replacing beef with turkey.<\/p>\n

Now, some chili purists may scoff at the notion of a turkey bowl of red. That said, when you ladle turkey chili onto a bed of crunchy corn chips, then top it with shredded Cheddar, diced onions, and pickled jalape\u00f1os, you do not miss the beef.<\/p>\n
