\n<\/p>\n
The true identity of anyone in Christ is found in the spirit. We are no longer known by the flesh, but by the Spirit of God. Let\u00b4s talk the true identity of a believer.<\/p>\n
2 Corinthians 5:16-17 Only a father or parent has the authority to name a child. You don\u2019t give yourself a name or an identity\u2014doing so means you\u2019ve stepped outside the family order.<\/p>\n According to Genesis, creation reproduces after its kind. But when it came to man, Genesis 1:26 records something unique: \u201cLet Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness.\u201d We are made in the image and likeness of God because we carry His personality and morality\u2014His Spirit in us. So, the man in Genesis 1:26 represents the man who has accepted Christ, the prototype\u2014Christ Himself.<\/p>\n His Spirit in us brings oneness, making us sons just as Christ is. The word \u201cson\u201d means \u201cGod in a man.\u201d It goes far beyond the English definition. This is what salvation truly means: the Spirit of God in a man. Salvation can be described as the leading of the Spirit, for being led by the Spirit is the birthright of every believer. Being led by the Spirit is also a gift. <\/p>\n The most dangerous thing that can happen to a believer is to live without the knowledge of his identity as a new creation. The Spirit within us brings sonship and enables us to know God through the inner witness\u2014unlike those under the Old Covenant who only knew His acts because the law wasn\u2019t written in their hearts, and His Spirit did not dwell within them.<\/p>\n The greatest attack against believers is rooted on identity. If you don\u2019t know whose you are and who you have become, you will live like a stranger. That\u2019s why when the Holy Spirit teaches, He often repeats truth to renew our minds. The Spirit within already knows; it\u2019s not learning anew. This shows how powerful the civilization of the flesh is\u2014it takes repetition to break its hold.<\/p>\n Our spirit already knows all things and is complete, but when our mind has not been brought into the same light our spirit carries, we can\u2019t walk in it. 1 Corinthians 2:11-12 No one can trace God\u2014from beginning to end\u2014for He is eternal life. So also is everyone born of Him. Whatever is in the Spirit of God is also in our spirit. John 3:3-8 As He is, so are we\u2014in power, strength, and everything that pertains to Him. Until that thing sent to destroy you encounters the life of God within you, you haven\u2019t yet become rooted in your identity. We have every advantage in this life through His life. Worship is not just singing; it\u2019s a way of life. The more we worship, the more the light within us bursts forth, because true worship is done in Spirit and in truth. We are far beyond the enemy\u2019s reach because we are in Christ. If you choose to live in those patterns, you\u2019ll feel defeated, and the fullness of God will not manifest in you. Even prophecy and promises will begin to seem untrue.<\/p>\n
[16]Consequently, from now on we estimate and regard no one from a [purely] human point of view [in terms of natural standards of value]. [No] even though we once did estimate Christ from a human viewpoint and as a man, yet now [we have such knowledge of Him that] we know Him no longer [in terms of the flesh].
[17]Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!<\/em><\/p>\n
This refers to the spirit of man. The body was later formed in Genesis 2:7, and the soul was breathed into him.<\/p>\n
When the Spirit of God enters a person, that individual is declared delivered, justified, sanctified, and purified. From that point, the Spirit begins to lead them.<\/p>\n
Your spirit does not need to grow\u2014it needs to show forth. Growth happens as your mind aligns with your heart and spirit in understanding.<\/p>\n
[11]For what person perceives (knows and understands) what passes through a man\u2019s thoughts except the man\u2019s own spirit within him? Just so no one discerns (comes to know and comprehend) the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
[12]Now we have not received the spirit [that belongs to] the world, but the [Holy] Spirit Who is from God, [given to us] that we might realize and comprehend and appreciate the gifts [of divine favor and blessing so freely and lavishly] bestowed on us by God.<\/em><\/p>\n
God is a revelation, which is why He dwells in light (knowledge. We came from that light; we are the revelation of Jesus Christ. Through His life, we have fellowship with the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n
[3]Jesus answered him, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that unless a person is born again (anew, from above), he cannot ever see (know, be acquainted with, and experience) the kingdom of God.
[4]Nicodemus said to Him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter his mother\u2019s womb again and be born?
[5]Jesus answered, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, unless a man is born of water and [even] the Spirit, he cannot [ever] enter the kingdom of God. [Ezek. 36:25-27.]
[6]What is born of [from] the flesh is flesh [of the physical is physical]; and what is born of the Spirit is spirit.
[7]Marvel not [do not be surprised, astonished] at My telling you, You must all be born anew (from above).
[8]The wind blows (breathes) where it wills; and though you hear its sound, yet you neither know where it comes from nor where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.<\/em><\/p>\n
Until you truly know who you are, you remain in bondage.<\/p>\n
Many believers are still fighting shadows\u2014things Jesus already defeated\u2014because they have not begun to live fully in the Spirit.<\/p>\n
When you say something is \u201cpressing you,\u201d there\u2019s often a part of your life unknowingly yielding to it.
We have been called to live in the Spirit and in the truth of God\u2014and that is how we express who we truly am.<\/p>\n
The only time he gains access is when we start believing his lies and living in the flesh.
The devil rules over certain thought patterns.<\/p>\n
