Fur babies are family and if you’re a dog lover like I am, any of these gifts would be welcome by dog parents and the dogs themselves.

"Gifts

This year’s Gifts for the Best Dogs feature favorite products tried and tested by us, Goldie (6 year old Yellow Lab/Golden Retriever mix), Murphy (3 year old Chocolate Lab pup), and some were favorites of our first dog Oliver.

Below you’ll find the tastiest treats for the pickiest pups, amazing apparel and accessories for the humans that love them, a way to soothe your anxious four-legged love, and more.

Trot Puzzle Bowl ($52.49), Snack Tray ($29.99) and Single Bowl Mat ($34.99) – Awin

"Trot

Designed with modern pet parents in mind, Trot’s functional, durable, and stylish products are gifts for the best dogs because they turn meal and snack time into a mess-free experience. I’ve been on the hunt for a slow feeding bowl that’s flip-proof to slow Murphy down when he eats. Trot Puzzle Bowl on the Single Bowl Mat seems like it could do the trick. The Floor Magnet on the Puzzle Bowl securely fastens to the Single Bowl Mat, a thick food-grade silicone slip-free mat with an embedded magnet that serves as a slip-free base.

For dogs that need a challenge when snacking, Trot Pets Snack Tray stands up to even the most enthusiastic eaters while keeping messes minimal. Divided compartments make it easy to serve portioned meals or a mix of treats, and because it’s freezer-friendly and dishwasher safe, prep and cleanup are effortless. Compact and portable, the Trot Puzzle Bowl, Snack Tray, and Single Bowl Mat make thoughtful holiday gifts for both pets and their people.

Alligator Recipe freeze dried dog food from Shepherd Boy Farms ($47.20)

"Alligator

Raise the bar on your dog’s nutrition with Shepherd Boy Farms Alligator Recipe freeze-dried raw dog food. This award-winning dog food is made by a family farmer owned company and if you’ve never thought of feeding your dog alligator, neither had I until learning about Shepherd Boy Farms! Lean alligator protein is an ideal protein for dogs because it’s rich in omega-3 fatty acids and low in fat, making it naturally nutrient rich. The addition of goat’s milk makes it easily digestible, rich in probiotics, and adds essential vitamins and minerals to support immune health and hydration.

Coops Retractable Leash from StitchLeash ($34.99)

*Woman and AAPI owned, 10% of profits benefit shelters and women-led businesses

""

After walking Goldie with the Coops Retractable Leash once, it instantly became my new favorite leash for her! Goldie is a dog who loves to sniff and take walks at her own pace. As she’s gotten older (she’ll be 7 in March!), she’s gone from being a dog who constantly pulled on a fixed-length leash to one who loves her freedom. With the Coops Retractable Leash, Goldie gets up to 10 feet of leash and I don’t have to juggle keys, treats, and poop bags thanks to the Clip & Go System.

The Clip & Go System allows me to clip my dog walk essentials to any one of the 4 carabiners before heading out the door. I love that everything I need is right on the leash and the leash itself features 23’ of reflective nylon tape, 360 degree tangle-free movement, and a one touch lock & Soft Grip Handle.

Bryce Nylon Leash from StitchLeash ($24.99)

*Woman and AAPI owned, 10% of profits benefit shelters and women-led businesses

"Bryce

We recently put the Bryce Nylon Leash to the test on a walk with Murphy, our 75 lb 3-year-old Chocolate Lab who needs a fixed-length leash, and it passed with flying colors! The Bryce Nylon Leash is a traditional leash that is customizable thanks to the same Clip & Go carabiner system as Coops Retractable Leash. Clip walk essentials like the poop bag dispenser, keys, water bowl, and the dirty poop bag holder to the leash and you’re ready to go. I love this leash because it’s strong enough to keep our 75 lb dog from chasing squirrels, has a Soft Grip Handle for comfort, and an Extra Second Traffic Handle to keep Murphy really close to me when needed. At $24.99 this leash is a bargain! Bonus that it comes in many colors like black, blue, red, lime green, and pink.
