In the spirit of innovation, Carlsberg is now challenging students across Sweden to take the concept even further. In partnership with the KTH Royal Institute of Technology Student Union, they’ve launched a competition: create an even smaller non-alcoholic beer. The prize? 10,000 SEK ($1,061.49 USD) and a visit to the prestigious Carlsberg Research Laboratory in Copenhagen.

Lydia Boij, President of the Student Union, captured the challenge’s spirit perfectly:

“We usually focus on the big questions. But we can also grow even more from the smaller and trickier challenges. I’m excited to see how KTH students take on this one.”

This isn’t just a clever PR stunt—it’s a meaningful statement about the role of non-alcoholic beer in modern society.

As global trends shift toward sober curiosity, reduced alcohol consumption, and mindful drinking, Carlsberg’s microbrew serves as a creative and symbolic call to action.

By producing the world’s smallest non-alcoholic beer, Carlsberg not only pushes the boundaries of what’s physically possible but also reaffirms its leadership in the NA beer space—one drop at a time.
