She informed that the commission has written to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Gangtok on November 14 requesting an action-taken report on the matter. <\/span><span style=\"mso-spacerun:'yes';font-family:'Bookman Old Style';mso-fareast-font-family:Calibri;&#10;mso-bidi-font-family:'Times New Roman';font-size:11.0000pt;\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"15\"><span style=\"mso-spacerun:'yes';font-family:'Bookman Old Style';mso-fareast-font-family:Calibri;&#10;mso-bidi-font-family:'Times New Roman';font-size:11.0000pt;\">The letter states that \u201caction taken in the matter may be communicated to the Commission within 30 days from the date of receipt\u201d. It further notes that \u201cin the event of inaction or non-submission of the requested action-taken report within the stipulated period\u2026the Commission shall proceed to take such action as it deems proper.\u201d<\/span><span style=\"mso-spacerun:'yes';font-family:'Bookman Old Style';mso-fareast-font-family:Calibri;&#10;mso-bidi-font-family:'Times New Roman';font-size:11.0000pt;\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"15\"><span style=\"mso-spacerun:'yes';font-family:'Bookman Old Style';mso-fareast-font-family:Calibri;&#10;mso-bidi-font-family:'Times New Roman';font-size:11.0000pt;\"><span>\u201cThe SDF party appreciates the commission\u2019s timely intervention in this serious matter. We trust that the concerned State authorities in the interest of justice will treat this case with the urgency it deserves and ensure that all legal processes are carried out swiftly and transparently Cyberbullying and threats of rape, particularly against women, cannot be tolerated in any democratic society, and it is essential that strong action be taken to deter such violent behaviour in the future,\u201d said the SDF senior vice president.<\/span><\/span><span style=\"mso-spacerun:'yes';font-family:'Bookman Old Style';mso-fareast-font-family:Calibri;&#10;mso-bidi-font-family:'Times New Roman';font-size:11.0000pt;\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"15\"><span style=\"mso-spacerun:'yes';font-family:'Bookman Old Style';mso-fareast-font-family:Calibri;&#10;mso-bidi-font-family:'Times New Roman';font-size:11.0000pt;\"><span>\u201cThe SDF party remains committed to protecting democratic rights and advocating for the safety, dignity, and justice of all women in Sikkim.
