{"id":302198,"date":"2025-06-19T21:56:26","date_gmt":"2025-06-19T21:56:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peraltafinancing.com\/uncategorized\/mackie-motors-raises-threat-of-legal-action-against-renault-nissan-and-rci\/"},"modified":"2025-06-19T21:56:26","modified_gmt":"2025-06-19T21:56:26","slug":"mackie-motors-raises-threat-of-legal-action-against-renault-nissan-and-rci","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fivemor.com\/?p=302198","title":{"rendered":"Mackie Motors raises threat of legal action against Renault, Nissan and RCI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-343724\" src=\"https:\/\/djx5h8pabpett.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/shutterstock_2293288299-300x149.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"149\" srcset=\"https:\/\/djx5h8pabpett.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/shutterstock_2293288299-300x149.jpg 300w, https:\/\/djx5h8pabpett.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/shutterstock_2293288299-1024x510.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/djx5h8pabpett.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/shutterstock_2293288299-768x382.jpg 768w, https:\/\/djx5h8pabpett.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/shutterstock_2293288299-1536x764.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/djx5h8pabpett.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/shutterstock_2293288299-2048x1019.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\"\/>Mackie Motors may take more legal action against Renault UK, Nissan Motor (GB) and RCI Financial Services over its termination in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>It is seeking damages for lost profits, business value, and unreimbursed investment in seized vehicle stock.<\/p>\n<p>It has appointed Motor Industry Legal Services, which has issued letters before action to the three parties, with the stated intention of initiating High Court proceedings if the matter is not resolved.<\/p>\n<p>MILS confirmed to Motor Trader that it was representing Mackie Motors but would not comment further.<\/p>\n<p>Mackie had been a franchise partner of Renault, Dacia, and Nissan for 45 years until its contract was terminated by RCI on unsubstantiated claims of money laundering.<\/p>\n<p>MMBL alleges that RCI, Nissan and Renault all cut off access to critical operational systems used to order parts, process sales, and provide aftersales support.<\/p>\n<p>It alleges that this \u201csudden disruption\u201d effectively \u201cshut down its operations\u201d and \u201cforced the sale\u201d of the business properties and assets at a significant loss.<\/p>\n<p>MMBL also accuses RCI Financial Services of playing a central role, alleging it pressured Renault and Nissan to terminate franchise agreements based on unsubstantiated internal suspicions.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Kevin Mackie, Director of MMBL, said: \u201cFor over four decades, we worked in good faith and built a business based on trust, integrity, and loyal service.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat we received in return was a total breakdown in basic fairness, cut off from vital systems and excluded from key partnerships, without so much as a conversation.
