HOLLOW – Alta Hensley (Releasing June 9th , 2025)

You can see my thoughts on book two in the series, PRIMAL, here! I also enjoyed HEATHENS (book one) but haven’t gotten that review up on my blog right now.

Now available for download and on Kindle Unlimted!

Book Description:

No body, no crime.

That’s what they say on Heathens Hollow, where the line between desire and obsession blurs with each tide. I return to my family’s isolated island estate to recover, to heal. To escape the prison my life has become. The maze calls to me with its twisting pathways and secrets buried beneath the soil.

And so do they. Two men, tangled in a storm of their own making. Damiano, the groundskeeper who knows every hidden path through the maze. Flint, the bartender whose eyes hold truths about the island I’m not ready to face. Former lovers. Current enemies. Both now inexplicably tied to me.

As The Hunt approaches, Heathens Hollow’s most dangerous ritual begins. Masked pursuers. Willing prey. Ancient traditions that care nothing for outsiders. Some things should stay buried in Heathens Hollow. But on this island, secrets always find their way to the surface.

𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗦: Primal Play, Why Choose, Enemies to Lovers, Touch Her and Die, Masked Men, Stalking, MMF, Dark Romance

My Thoughts: As with the other books in this series I could not put it down. The story just grabs you and doesn’t let go until the very end. HOLLOW is book three in the Heathens Hollow series and it was nice going back Heathens Hollow to observe the next dangerous ritual, The Hunt. Briar Waters returns to Heathens Hollow to stay in her family’s summer estate. Living with a debilitating autoimmune disorder, her father sends her to the island to rest and recuperate. Out of sight, out of mind, and she is determined to take back her life. Her affluent family never participated in and looked down on The Hunt that happens every year on the island. A ritual that is organized by the owners of The Vault, an exclusive club catering to the wealthy and their deepest desires.

Briar decides it would be fun and rebellious to have a party at the estate with a theme of The Hunt. So begins her entanglement and obsession with Damiano and Flint. Two men with a history together and all the love/hate tension you could possibly want. I don’t want to risk spoiling any of the fun, but I highly recommend checking out the trigger warnings in the book prior to starting (like with any dark romance novel). I hope we get to return to Heathens Hollow again soon!

About the Author:

Alta Hensley is a USA TODAY bestselling author of hot, dark and dirty romance.
