Crystal\u2019s cancer diagnosis. A friend battling depression. My heart stretched thinner than the last bit of peanut butter in the jar.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, my husband was buried in sermon prep. I was juggling praise team planning, emotional needs, and another late night of cold tea and yesterday\u2019s mascara.<\/p>\n<p>At 2am, I whispered, \u201c<em><strong>God, are You even listening? Because I\u2019m drowning here, and I can\u2019t hear You at all.<\/strong><\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Maybe you\u2019ve been there too; pouring out in ministry while feeling spiritually parched. Where you\u2019re supposed to have answers but secretly wonder if God\u2019s put you on hold.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s what I\u2019ve learned: <strong>God\u2019s silence doesn\u2019t mean His absence.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"text-xl font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-0.5\"><strong>\u201cBe still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.\u201d \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Psalm%2046%3A10&amp;version=NIV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Psalm 46:10<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>This isn\u2019t just a comforting verse. It\u2019s a holy invitation. In Hebrew, \u201cbe still\u201d (raphah) means to let go, to release, to stop striving. That verse came alive for me when I stopped trying to \u201cperform faith\u201d and simply rested in the One who carries it all.<\/p>\n<p>Ministry can feel loud and demanding. But the quiet seasons? They\u2019re often where God does His deepest work. He\u2019s not punishing you. <a href=\"https:\/\/sheisamessage.com\/how-to-know-what-god-is-calling-you-to-do\/\"><strong>He\u2019s preparing you<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Think of it like a garden. Seeds don\u2019t grow because we hover and hustle. They grow in silence, underground, watered and nurtured by faith in what we can\u2019t yet see.<\/p>\n<p>The same is true for us.<\/p>\n<p>During one of my driest ministry seasons, <a href=\"https:\/\/sheisamessage.com\/how-to-journal\/\"><strong>I began noticing God in the smallest moments<\/strong><\/a>\u2014a steady peace while folding laundry after a tough conversation. A perfectly timed text from a friend who didn\u2019t know I was struggling.<\/p>\n<p>God wasn\u2019t speaking less. I just needed to listen differently.<\/p>\n<p>He shows up in hospital rooms, behind-the-scenes phone calls, praise rehearsals with one person, and in the stillness after a long day. He\u2019s not waiting for you to be \u201cmore spiritual\u201d before showing up. He\u2019s already there, in the thick of your real life.<\/p>\n<p>Ministry isn\u2019t about always being \u201con.\u201d Being a woman in ministry doesn\u2019t mean you\u2019re never weary. It means <strong>you\u2019re learning to serve from a place of rest<\/strong>, not performance. You\u2019re becoming a woman of God not because you never doubt, but because you keep choosing trust, especially when you can\u2019t hear Him clearly.<\/p>\n<p>And that trust? It\u2019s what deepens your roots.<\/p>\n<p>We often look for mountaintop moments, but real growth happens in the valley. When His voice seems quiet, He may be calling you to mature faith\u2014the kind that says, \u201cEven if I can\u2019t trace Your hand, I\u2019ll trust Your heart.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When God feels silent, He may be inviting you to pause, breathe, and remember what He\u2019s already spoken:<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>You are called.<\/strong><\/em><br class=\"yoast-text-mark\"\/><em><strong>You\u2019re held.<\/strong><\/em><br class=\"yoast-text-mark\"\/><em><strong>You are not alone.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>He doesn\u2019t waste these quiet seasons. He uses them to deepen your joy, anchor your faith, and equip you for what\u2019s next. Trust that what feels like stillness may actually be sacred preparation.<\/p>\n<p>You don\u2019t have to carry everything. You\u2019re allowed to rest. You are allowed to feel. You\u2019re allowed to be a woman in ministry who sometimes just needs a moment to exhale.<\/p>\n<p>So take it.<\/p>\n<p>Make space for stillness. <strong>Let His Word fill the silence<\/strong>. Let His presence meet you right where you are, messy bun, tired eyes, and all.<\/p>\n<p>God is working, even when it\u2019s quiet. He\u2019s not far away. He\u2019s closer than you think.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>A Moment for Reflection<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\"><em>Where have you been straining to hear God\u2019s voice? <\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\"><em>What if, instead of listening harder, you simply rested in what He\u2019s already whispered over your life? <\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\"><em>What ordinary moment this week might be an invitation to encounter His quiet presence?<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">You are seen, supported, and so deeply loved. This space is for you.
