‘Can I have a dog?’

Every morning the little girl asks the same question. It doesn’t matter what kind of dog, it could be big, small, old, young, saggy or waggy, she just wants a dog!

Would she take care of a dog and all of its needs, every single day?

""""

Persuading Dad to go with her to visit the shelter for homeless dogs, she finds furry, funny and friendly Max.

If only she could take Max home with her, she would look after him every day in every way.

Full of fun and gentle humour, this is the perfect book for dog lovers.

Never underestimating the care required to look after a dog, this lovely picture book has a strong message hidden amongst the humour; it isn’t where we come from but where we are going to that counts.

Alex Ayliffe’s fabulous illustrations bring this whole story to life. Who couldn’t love the adorable Max?
