The complete overview of Europe was previously updated for the Copernicus Earth Observation Program in 2018 and 2015 as part of the VHR2018 and VHR2015 Airbus-led projects.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text transition-colors dark:text-white text-base font-normal text-primary-black mt-4\">The acquisitions started two years ago, just after the <a class=\"hover:text-accent-hover transition-colors dark:text-white underline text-brand-01\" aria-label=\"Learn more\" href=\"https:\/\/www.esa.int\/\">European Space Agency<\/a>\u00a0(ESA), selected the Airbus-led consortium with GAF to provide the <a class=\"hover:text-accent-hover transition-colors dark:text-white underline text-brand-01\" aria-label=\"Learn more\" href=\"https:\/\/www.copernicus.eu\/en\">Copernicus Earth Observation Programme<\/a> with <strong>very high-resolution<\/strong> (VHR) fresh images of Europe.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text transition-colors dark:text-white text-base font-normal text-primary-black mt-4\">To achieve very challenging requirements, Airbus set up a consortium with GAF (Germany) and gathered data from multiple providers (European &amp; non-European) with prime\/back up allocations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text transition-colors dark:text-white text-base font-normal text-primary-black mt-4\">The acquisition period lasted from April to October each year (2020,2021 &amp; 2022).<\/p>\n<p class=\"text transition-colors dark:text-white text-base font-normal text-primary-black mt-4\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This cloud-free coverage is primarily composed of very high-accuracy cloud-free satellite ortho-images with a 2m spatial resolution acquired within the 2021 vegetation season, responding to the users\u2019 needs as defined by the Copernicus Land Monitoring Service (CLMS).
