Purpose Investments has received regulatory approval
\nto launch a spot XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF) in Canada, with trading
\nscheduled to begin on June 18 on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX). The fund, listed under the ticker XRPP, will provide
\ndirect exposure to XRP through a regulated investment vehicle.<\/p>\n

The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) granted the
\nfinal prospectus receipt for the fund, Purpose announced Monday. The ETF<\/a> will
\noffer units in CAD-hedged, CAD non-hedged, and USD formats, and will be
\neligible for registered investment accounts such as TFSAs and RRSPs.<\/p>\n

XRP Price Rises Following Approval<\/p>\n

The launch follows Purpose\u2019s earlier introduction of
\nthe world\u2019s first spot bitcoin ETF in Canada in 2021. XRP\u2019s price rose nearly 7% in the 24 hours following
\nthe announcement, outperforming Bitcoin<\/a>. The move
\nreflects investor optimism around regulated access to the token, which remains
\none of the most traded digital assets by volume globally.<\/p>\n

The ETF provides investors with a way to gain exposure
\nto XRP, the native token of the XRP Ledger, without needing to directly hold
\nthe asset or manage private keys.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe OSC\u2019s granting of a receipt for the Purpose XRP ETF
\nprospectus reinforces Canada\u2019s global leadership in building a regulated
\ndigital asset ecosystem,\u201d said Vlad Tasevski, Chief Innovation Officer at
\nPurpose Investments.<\/p>\n

Canada remains ahead of other major jurisdictions,
\nincluding the United States, in approving spot cryptocurrency ETFs. While U.S.
\nregulators have yet to approve a spot XRP product, Canada continues to expand
\nits regulated offerings in the digital asset<\/a> space.<\/p>\n

ETF Offers Access to Cross-Border Payment Token<\/p>\n

XRP is designed to support low-cost, fast cross-border
\npayments through its decentralized ledger system. With the Purpose ETF,
\nCanadian investors will have simplified access to XRP through traditional
\ninvestment channels, further integrating digital assets into mainstream
\nportfolios.<\/p>\n

The fund will begin trading on the TSX this Wednesday,
\nmarking a new milestone in the growth of crypto-linked investment products in
