Your ultimate end goal may take much longer than a year to reach, but creating shorter, periodic objectives will keep you moving in the right direction. Set yourself quarterly or annual targets for brand recognition, sales, profit and other important factors<\/a>. The key is to keep them manageable and achievable so that you don\u2019t overstretch your resources or funding.<\/p>\n

When starting a small business, it\u2019s always better to set lower targets and succeed than overstretch and crash.<\/p>\n
