If you love cozy mysteries with a magical twist, then the latest from Elizabeth Pantley will be right up your alley. Puzzles and Premieres<\/em><\/a> is book 10 in the Magical Mystery Book Club<\/em> series\u2014and it\u2019s one of my favorites yet! But don\u2019t fret\u2014it reads perfectly well as a standalone if you\u2019re new to the series.<\/p>\n

My thoughts on Puzzles and Premieres<\/span><\/h2>\n

Elizabeth Pantley has done it again! Puzzles and Premieres captures all the charm, humor, and heart that readers have come to expect from the Magical Mystery Book Club series. This time, the club is swept into a glitzy film-festival setting that\u2019s equal parts Hollywood dazzle and small-town charm.<\/p>\n

The magic system\u2014jumping into the story and solving mysteries to return\u2014is still as delightful as ever. I especially loved the enchanted puzzles in this one. What a creative and cozy way to build suspense!<\/p>\n

The club members feel like old familiar friends at this point\u2014each with their quirks, but all completely endearing. Their conversations feel natural, and the way they tackle each mystery together keeps the story moving with heart and humor. I love the balance between cozy mystery fun and just enough magic to keep things interesting, without ever venturing into overly paranormal territory, aside from the traveling library and the talking cat.<\/p>\n

If you like your mysteries light, a little magical, and filled with good company, this is a great one to curl up with for a weekend read.<\/p>\n
