Our insurance cover evolves as the industry evolves and we are happy to advise that our policy now includes piercing of the ear lobe for ages 8 upwards. <\/strong>Subject to a parent and\/or guardian being present and a fully completed consent form. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Making sure that you have included Treatment Risk<\/strong> coverage is also an
\nessential part of any Tattoo & Body Piercing policy. We strongly advise
\nthat you always opt to add on \u201cTreatment
\nRisk Cover\u201d <\/strong>as part of your Insurance package. <\/p>\n

What
\nexactly is Treatment Risk for Body Piercing and why do you need it? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Firstly, it\u2019s important to understand that Treatment Risk<\/strong> and Public Liability<\/strong> are two very different types of cover. If someone was to have a minor injury following a treatment that you\u2019ve provided, for example, a navel piercing and\/or they decided to claim for compensation. Your Public Liability<\/strong> will not <\/strong>provide cover for this eventuality, however, with Treatment Risk<\/strong> cover your business will be protected*. <\/p>\n

Let\u2019s talk about age
\nlimits\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our policy will provide cover for**<\/p>\n

Any work on
\npersons under the age of eighteen years old (Excluding Genital Piercing<\/em>) other than:<\/p>\n

(i) Ear
\npiercings, nose and navel piercings on persons aged fourteen<\/p>\n

years; or<\/p>\n

(ii) Tongue
\nand eyebrow piercing on persons aged sixteen years or over<\/p>\n

Provided
\nthat written parental or legal guardian consent is obtained (a copy to be retained by you<\/em>) with the
\nparent or legal guardian being present during the procedure and Treatment Risk
\ncover is in force. <\/p>\n
