The offer includes\u00a0<strong>25% off Reef membership<\/strong> and for any revenue generated from the code, Reef will donate 10% to <strong><em>Only A Pavement Away<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The code can be found in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beerguild.co.uk\/membership-area\/\">Membership Area<\/a> of the guild website<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Reef App, founded by entrepreneur James Coughlan, has rapidly signed up 5,000 UK venues and now has 15,000 individual business users registered and actively engaging with the platform. Users are enticed with special offers and promotions, such as discounted F&amp;B or a free first coffee, and average dwell time across the Reef user group is four to five hours, with an average spend of \u00a317.50. The app is making positive strides in the industry, winning widespread support from a raft of leading hospitality companies including Arc Inspirations, Bill\u2019s Restaurant &amp; Bar, BrewDog, and Stonegate Group.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Commenting on partnering with Reef,\u00a0<strong>David McDowall, CEO<\/strong>\u00a0of Stonegate Group, which has onboarded their managed sites on the Reef platform, said: \u201cThe Reef App is a game-changer for the hospitality industry. It allows us to make better use of our spaces during quieter periods and also introduces our venues to a new demographic of customers who are highly engaged and willing to spend. It\u2019s a strategic move that aligns perfectly with the evolving needs of the modern workforce.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As well as securing partnerships with leading venue operators \u2013 who see the platform as a way to drive footfall, spend and productivity during so-called \u2018shoulder\u2019 periods \u2013 the Reef App is also attracting interest from large enterprise companies, such as World Pay. These businesses typically have large sales forces and see a high percentage of their workforce spending less of the working week based at a traditional, single-office location or primary business centre.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Commenting on the significant growth in both venues and individual users on the platform,\u00a0<strong>James Coughlan, CEO,\u00a0<\/strong>said:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWorking from home and not necessarily being located in an office five-days-per-week is now well embedded in our culture. It is also giving rise to new trends, such as when working from home, people often feel a need for a change of scene to break up the day, and want to go and work in different location, with good food and coffee, such as a pub or coffee shop.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cOur app helps individuals identify the venues that are not just happy to receive workers \u2013 and their laptops \u2013 as guests but which actively target them through special offers. Unlike other booking platforms, The Reef App is completely free for venues to list, with no commission, booking, or listing fees, making it a risk-free way for operators to drive footfall during quieter periods. It\u2019s a win-win as guests get the change of scene they crave and the venue gets a paying customer, during what is normally a quieter trading period. At a time when hospitality operators are doing more than ever to drive footfall, revenue and productivity, this is an exciting new concept.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Visitors to hospitality venues via the Reef App represent high value customers as they stay for longer and spend more versus the average: data from the platform shows that individuals who book through the app generate 3.5 times more revenue compared to walk-in customers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The success of The Reef App comes at a crucial time for the hospitality industry. The final quarter of 2024 saw an acceleration in venue closures, with a 0.7% decrease in sites between October and December\u2014an average of just over 8 net closures per day<a href=\"https:\/\/mail.google.com\/mail\/u\/1\/#m_-7766045531381948594_m_-1729473346093203658__ftn1\"><sup>[1]<\/sup><\/a>. In a current climate where consumers are more cautious with spending and frequency of visits to hospitality venues is under pressure, Reef provides a clear solution.
