{"id":294097,"date":"2025-06-15T03:27:34","date_gmt":"2025-06-15T03:27:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peraltafinancing.com\/african-music\/band-or-bust-vol-3-is-back-and-looking-to-spotlight-the-best-unsigned-talent-texx-and-the-city\/"},"modified":"2025-06-15T03:27:34","modified_gmt":"2025-06-15T03:27:34","slug":"band-or-bust-vol-3-is-back-and-looking-to-spotlight-the-best-unsigned-talent-texx-and-the-city","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fivemor.com\/?p=294097","title":{"rendered":"Band Or Bust Vol. 3 is back and looking to spotlight the best unsigned talent \u2013 Texx and the City"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>At TATC we pride ourselves on showcasing the best independent talent, which is why we\u2019re incredibly excited about Band Or Bust Vol. 3, alongside premiere Cape Town venue, The House of Machines, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shure.com\/en-MEA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Shure<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/onerpm.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ONErpm<\/a>, to find the cream of South Africa\u2019s unsigned musical crop.<\/p>\n<p>The winning act of Band Or Bust will walk away with the following:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>R10,000 cash prize<\/li>\n<li>R10,000 Shure hamper<\/li>\n<li>A professional photoshoot by Laura McCullagh<\/li>\n<li>Free music distribution services through ONErpm<\/li>\n<li>A&amp;R and project management services for your release roll out through ONErpm<\/li>\n<li>Access to an exclusive artist workshop hosted by Majozi and Tecla<\/li>\n<li>Career guidance and mentorship from all three judges<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Submissions will be judged by Majozi (pop singer-songwriter, guitarist and all-round cool dude), Elle E (rock singer-songwriter, guitarist and all-round kickass woman), and TATC\u2019s editor &amp; founder, Tecla Ciolfi. The 3 judges will pick 6 finalists who will perform in pairs at The House Of Machines on 4, 11 and 18 July, with the finalist being announced at the <strong>Band Or Bust final on Friday 25 July<\/strong> at The House Of Machines.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The winner will be announced at the end of the evening. Entrance is free to all shows.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Entries are now open and will close on <strong>Wednesday 18 June at 5pm.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 6 finalists will be announced on TATC on Friday 20 June at 3pm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To enter you have to do the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Email your submission to contact@texxandthecity.com<\/li>\n<li>Make sure to include \u201cBAND OR BUST SUBMISSION\u201d and the name of your act in the subject line<\/li>\n<li>Your submission must include \u2013 a biography, a high res photo, social media handles and most importantly a link for us to listen to your music<\/li>\n<li>The music you submit can be an album, EP, or an individual track<\/li>\n<li>You can submit links for us to listen to your music on streaming services<\/li>\n<li>You can submit unreleased tracks as attachments in your submission<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Some Ts &amp; Cs:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You cannot enter if you work for or are affiliated with The House Of Machines or TATC<\/li>\n<li>You must be an independent musician<\/li>\n<li>You must not have an existing deal with any record label<\/li>\n<li>The winning act will receive their R10,000 cash and R10,000 Shure Hamper no later than 30 days after the competition<\/li>\n<li>The winning act will receive their photo shoot no later than 30 days after the competition<\/li>\n<li>You must be available to perform in Cape Town on either 4, 11 or 18 June &amp; then for the final on 25 July<\/li>\n<li>If selected as a finalist, musicians are responsible for their own travel &amp; accommodation in Cape Town<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<aside class=\"mashsb-container mashsb-main \"\/><\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At TATC we pride ourselves on showcasing the best independent talent, which is why we\u2019re incredibly excited about Band Or Bust Vol. 3, alongside premiere Cape Town venue, The House of Machines, Shure and ONErpm, to find the cream of South Africa\u2019s unsigned musical crop.
