As you wander through the city\u2019s heart and its narrow cobblestone streets, you\u2019ll encounter picturesque squares, charming plazas, and beautifully restored buildings. The old city is a treasure trove of architectural gems, including ancient ruins, medieval walls, ornate palaces, and grand churches. Each corner reveals a story, and the area exudes a distinct ambience that reflects its centuries-old past. There are many modernist and eclectic buildings here. Five museums are about 20 euros.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I would recommend the Punic Wall Museum first, as it provides an excellent understanding of how Cartagena was built. It is also furthest from the port so easy to walk back.<\/p>\n<p>Then I would visit the Casa Fortuna, the house of fortune! A fantastic house covered with mosaics and wall paintings. You can also walk along the original road and through the door frame.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Next up, the Molinete Roman forum museum, which is enormous!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cParque Arqueol\u00f3gico del\u00a0<em>Molinete<\/em>\u201d, which contains the\u00a0<em>Roman Forum<\/em>\u00a0district,  is one of the largest in an urban location in Europe, occupying\u00a0<strong>26,000 square metres<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, the Roman theatre ( think this is technically two museums)\u00a0.
