Sab Di Hatti is a phrase in Punjabi which means \u2018Everyone\u2019s shop\u2019. This expresses the roots of the owners (they are from Punjab, Northern India) and also reflects for them the diversity of Amsterdam \u2013 they want to make it a place for everyone! Owners Parveen Kumar and Ranju Kaur started the shop about fifteen years ago. Then four years ago they expanded the concept with the streetfood take-away, together with their son Aryan and their daughter.<\/p>\n

As a family they are vegetarian for religious reasons as well as to prevent animal suffering. This included also no eggs, like pure vegetarianism in India. \u201cIn the Ganzenhoef area there are many take-aways, but a lot of meat. We are vegetarian ourselves and find it difficult to find vegan and vegetarian food here,\u201d says Ranju. <\/p>\n

That\u2019s why they started the take-away. Also it just made sense, since they already sell many ingredients for it in the store. Note that in the store part they do sell some meat and fish, because of the demand for it. Read more<\/a><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
