partnership established between Etihad and Ethiopian in March 2025<\/a>, aimed at \u201cunlocking greater travel opportunities for passengers across both networks,\u201d Etihad announced in a statement on June 9, 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n\u201cBy leveraging our combined networks, we are unlocking seamless travel opportunities between Africa and Asia, Australia, and the Middle East,\u201d Arik De, Etihad\u2019s Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer. \u201cEasy connections via Abu Dhabi and Addis Ababa, will enhance flexibility, boosting trade and tourism, and delivering unparalleled travel experiences to guests of both airlines.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Ethiopian will begin operations from Addis Ababa Bole International Airport (ADD) to Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) on July 15, 2025. Additionally, Etihad Airways will introduce daily flights to Addis Ababa starting October 8, 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The codeshare partnership will allow travelers to simplify their journeys by making a single booking with one check-in process at the beginning, along with the convenience of having their luggage sent directly to their final destination.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Under this partnership, Etihad passengers will have access to Ethiopian Airlines\u2019 African network, connecting via Addis Ababa to 55 locations in 33 countries. These destinations include Entebbe, Kinshasa, Kigali, Lusaka, Harare and Victoria Falls.\u00a0<\/p>\n
At the same time, Ethiopian Airlines passengers can book itineraries connecting to Etihad-operated flights through Abu Dhabi, with further service to 20 major destinations in Asia, Australia, and the Middle East including Sydney, Krabi, Colombo and Phnom Penh.\u00a0<\/p>\n
