Intrepid is actively exploring the introduction of an electric minibus in 2026, aiming to convert its entire Ecuador fleet in the coming years.<\/p>\n<p>The new electric vehicle rollout was made possible through a long-time partnership with Eduardo Cuenca, Intrepid\u2019s sole transportation provider in Ecuador since 2012. This family-run business has been integral to Intrepid\u2019s growth in the region and shares the company\u2019s vision of using innovation to create a better kind of tourism.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font-bold\">Leigh Barnes, Intrepid President, The Americas: <\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis isn\u2019t just about reducing emissions\u2014it\u2019s about transforming the future of travel in partnership with the people who make it possible. We\u2019re proud to be the first, but our goal is to set the standard and bring others with us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"font-bold\">Fausto Sarango, General Manager, Intrepid Ecuador: <\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is what climate action looks like\u2014bold, local, and built on trust. We\u2019re proving that a small family business and a global travel company can work together to drive real, lasting change.\u201d Intrepid\u2019s broader decarbonization strategy includes verified science-based targets to halve emissions by 2030 and achieve net zero by 2050, which includes more EV transfers.
