One type defines the loyalty program itself, while the other illustrates the benefits members receive for specific products.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s what you need to know.<\/p>\n<h2>Loyalty Structured Data<\/h2>\n<p>When businesses use this <a href=\"https:\/\/developers.google.com\/search\/docs\/appearance\/structured-data\/loyalty-program\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new structured data<\/a> for loyalty programs, their products can display member benefits directly in Google. This allows shoppers to view the perks before clicking on any listings.<\/p>\n<p>Google recognizes four specific types of loyalty benefits that can be displayed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Loyalty Points<\/strong>: Points earned per purchase<\/li>\n<li><strong>Member-Only Prices<\/strong>: Exclusive pricing for members<\/li>\n<li><strong>Special Returns<\/strong>: Perks like free returns<\/li>\n<li><strong>Special Shipping<\/strong>: Benefits like free or expedited shipping<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is a new way to make products more visible. It may also result in higher clicks from search results.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement states:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201c\u2026 member benefits, such as lower prices and earning loyalty points, are a major factor considered by shoppers when buying products online.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2>Details &amp; Requirements<\/h2>\n<p>The new feature needs two steps.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>First, add loyalty program info to your \u2018Organization\u2019 structured data.<\/li>\n<li>Then, add loyalty benefits to your \u2018Product\u2019 structured data.<\/li>\n<li>Bonus step: Check if your markup works using the Rich Results Test tool.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>With valid markup in place, Google will be aware of your loyalty program and the perks associated with each product.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important implementation note:<\/strong> Google recommends placing all loyalty program information on a single dedicated page rather than spreading it across multiple pages. This helps ensure proper crawling and indexing.<\/p>\n<h2>Multi-Tier Programs Now Supported<\/h2>\n<p>Businesses can define multiple membership tiers within a single loyalty program\u2014think bronze, silver, and gold levels.
